My phone crashed badly sometime between 3am and 9.30am. My alarm didn't ring causing me to oversleep. Woke up and phone was completely dead. My guess is it crashed and heated up and wasted the battery
Was running Conservative 100-1200 using sio. This is the first time the phone has done this in many weeks. Changing to Ondemand 100-1200 sio to see if the same shit happens. Otherwise I am going back to 2.1b13 because I feel the latest Siyah drains the battery quite fast. |

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Dec 31 2011, 01:34 PM) Are you using ThunderBolt! ? I was using thunderbolt, then flashed to stock KK5, then back to Siyah 2.6.2. Never UVed at all. I think the phone crashed because of my antivirus scanning the phone...all the governers (except ondemand) cannot keep the phone alive with the screen off if the phone is doing something heavyAre you UVing aggressively? You might have SOD cause the aggressive CFS reveals instabilities faster than the old one. Try UVing with my guide (Android Optimization Tips) and CTRL-F for Undervolting. |

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Dec 31 2011, 02:42 PM) Hmm, weird. Do you OC? If the all the governors are causing a problem, my guess is that something is over-utilizing the CPU (but over-utilizing the CPU won't do anything bad as long as battery isn't overheated). How about undervolting using my guide (Android Optimization Tips). You might be suffering from overheating. Undervolting will helpa alleviate that a bit. Nope, no OC. Going to try what antt00 said below. Going to use 200-1200, conservative, sio. Will use your guide to UV QUOTE(antt00 @ Dec 31 2011, 02:59 PM) Dun use 100mhz. It does not play nice on some device especially when screen off. Example mine. I use to get these hang when device is asleep. I have since not use 100mhz and never had anymore issues. I dun really see the benefit of using 100mhz anyway. It does not save me additional juice. All right. Thanks QUOTE(eddie2020 @ Dec 31 2011, 06:48 PM) Drained from 80%+ to 0. I had removed it from the charger at about 7 pm and last used the phone at 3am. Crashed and drained sometime in between 3am and 10am. |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 1 2012, 11:30 AM) Why not try out CM9? Apparently HDMI out is working now, and the camera and all is fixed. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410400 Is the XXKP8 any newer than the one in that CM9? Wonder why the code there is so weird. |

QUOTE(mtxx @ Jan 2 2012, 12:47 AM) i worry 3g drain my credit as well, since i'm using prepaid. Sounds good. But when I did it on mine, the HSDPA icon appeared and then changed to 3G. Is it normal or should it only appear when an MMS is coming in?but i have a nice solution to be able to receive MMS, and not loose any money via 3G at the same time. usually when i turn on data connection (enable 3g), while the mms is downloaded, other apps, like sync, emails, viber, etc, they will use the 3g at the same time. so what i do is, use droid wall (some kind of firewall app) for 3g settings, ONLY enable the sms app to use it. (which for my case is handcent sms). this way, totally dun have to worry any other app use the 3g to online. hence, no money will be drain. downloading mms content is free. I know there is a way to delete off the internet APN and just leave the MMS APN. Trying to figure it out right now... This post has been edited by ashwin1234: Jan 2 2012, 12:59 AM |

QUOTE(Slekerz @ Jan 3 2012, 07:18 PM) yes i use CM9 ics on that thread, just follow all the instruction on that thread, first u have to flash ICS bootloader after that flash CMW cm9, gapps and faceunlock zip. Thanks. But where is the bootloader to flash? The instructions just say:sorry right now no mod available yet for CM9, after all function have been fix and stable we can see mod for CM9 - Copy GApps, Faceunlock and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard - Boot into Recovery - Flash CM9 zip - Flash GApps and Faceunlock ZIPs - DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your calendar sync will not work) - Reboot - Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup! Did you restore your apps with TB or did you follow what they said? |

To those with Modern Combat 3, can you run the game without internet? Mine already downloaded all the data but when I try running it without internet, it says 1656MB of space is required so must delete my pictures and what not. But I have like 6GB free.
When I run it after connecting to the internet, that screen does not come up. Already tried reinstalling the game and deleting the game data. Any help? This post has been edited by ashwin1234: Jan 4 2012, 02:20 PM |

This is getting really old. Modern Combat causes sleep of death even when I use ondemand. I thought that moving from conservative would help, but it did not.
Everytime I lock my screen for like 1 minute, the phone cannot wake up. Wondering if it can be caused by me UV settings? Edit: Increased all voltages by 25mV and it seems to be fixed. This post has been edited by ashwin1234: Jan 4 2012, 07:00 PM |

QUOTE(rattan @ Jan 5 2012, 02:27 AM) Im now hunting for some accessories to make the best out of my S2, anyone can recommend a reasonable priced MHL ADAPTOR HDMI for S2 ? Currently in market all retailing around RM80-RM100+ , i find it abit too costly for just a small tiny cable. If you search online, you can find it for about RM50. It is not original, but it is identical in all aspects.Any suggestion for cheaper alternatives. For me as long as it serves the purpose im good. |
