Can you provide some link to HK or Taiwan for T-rex 450 heli.? Atleast, I know it will be a reliable supplier. I am interested in getting one.

Btw, heli combo kits are custom taxable or not? If yes , pls. PM on trick/tips to avoid the tax?

If you want from HongKong, RC-expert.com is very popular ship to malaysia. http://rc-expert.com/product.php?pid=162
But a warning, DO NOT buy any of their cheap electronics or it will end up costing you alot more in the end..and i would avoid there RTF packages, always assemble the heli yourself.

My personal favourite shop would be shop.rotor.com.sg in singapore and always buy my parts from them

Or another good and well priced dealer is Alan who runs www.private-aircraft.biz here in Malaysia

yeah... are there any particular comparison between walkera #36 and now they have #37 with T-rex 450X? I heard #36 quite responsive.

I think if you search most threads related to Walkera products, you will find that they are cheap and nasty and alot of people end up swapping out almost the entire heli for higher quality parts, only then it might be considered up to trex standard.. i would not recommend any of their packages especially for a begginer it could be alot of trouble, unless you understand that your only going to get what you pay for!
As for the transmitter, I would buy the best you can afford right from the beginning. You cant go wrong with any computer channel with six channels or more, most are very versatile and you can use it to fly whaterver Helis or planes you might buy in the future. You should stick to the popular manufacturers - Futuba, Hitec, Jr or Sanwa.

Thks. for the good info.

Looks like T-rex 450 should be the way to go. Another thing, is the carbon fiber frame
neccessary as compare to the normal HDE or CDE- main frame? Will I be disappointed with CDE- main frame bcos the T-Rex450 SE is very expensive -off course you get what
you pay for . Which is easier to learn to fly, stable for hovering, etc.?

Well i started with the stock plastic frame..lasted me alot of crashes! so no complaints. But obviously it's not going to be as strong as a carbon fibre frame, but in terms of flight performance, as a beginner you would never tell the difference!
Buying a brand new 450SE migth be slightly over the top for a first heli, and wasted money because again you will not tell the difference from a standad 450x until you start to get into high power 3D flying. When you crash (you WILL crash) you can choose to replace parts with CNC metal or carbon fibre upgrades if you want, and that way as you learn and your flying gets better, so does your heli to match it thumbup.gif
If you crash alot, you could end up with a full metal/carbon trex SE anyway rclxm9.gif

About the sim, reflex xtr is about the best you will find for helicopters. You can get it with a dummy transmitter for your computer, but very expensive and hard to find.. Or you can buy your real transmitter and if it's not a cheap one you will be able to use it for variouse flights sims: reflex, FMS, real flight G2/G3, Aerofly to name a few once you get a connector to your computer
Im using one of these:
