Current SGN is N7000. The difference between the new I717 is processor, it using Dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion compare to the current Dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor!

Only my own feeling towards 3 ROMs as below:
1) CheckROM V2- A lot bloatware has been removed (That's why ROM size only 3xxmb, but can be restore back using KitchenPro), including Digital clock at Home screen.....But when you try to restore more stock app back to phone, the phone getting slower (Fresh Flashing intially really fast)..Advantage of CheckROM, you are able to use KitchenPro to customise install, Kernel, BootAnimation, Themes, Mod, etc..
But unable to get back to stock Digital clock on Home screen.
2) XXKL7-PowerTweaks - Slow...mayb due to lower CPU speed to prolong battery life.
3) RocketROM V14- Really fast, means battery drains quite fast compared to CheckROM & Power Tweaks. Overall very smooth..

Currently using RocketROM...might be switch back to CheckROM, due to KitchenPro for more customization..

Questions:
How to get back Google Map? Anyone?

yes, using stock rom, no planing on custom rom yet...

my battery since upgrade to 2.3.6 (stock unrooted).. much much better.. gain (estimate) extra 50% out of normal (2.3.5). The battery was 80% on 10am Friday and now at 46% (11.20am Sunday)- usage: 2hr phonecall with 20min speakerphone, sms regular, wifi about 5 hours, 3g internet about 2 hours.

I bought the Titanium Backup Pro and downloaded the Titanium Backup*Root.
But somehow the Titanium Backup Pro seems to remain the Free version.
The payment status is "purchased" and I logged in the same Google account.
What happened??
I have deleted the free version and reinstall back but nothing happen.
How do I know I am at Paid version. I suspected I am still at Free version because a couple of red boxes at "Hypershell", "Fast/Auto app install", "Dropbox" all are disabled and the box "Pro version: $5.99" is still displayed there.

UPDATE

Problem solved by using Root uninstaller and uninstalled both apps and later re-install them back.

I have a question here. let say i want to port my current Hotlink prepaid number to Umobile PREPAID, it is possible? So I still can retain my old number right via MNP?

so after porting over, my number still remain EXACTLY the same as my old one? eg: 012-xxxxxxx before porting, after porting still 012-xxxxxxx ?

One more thing, SMS if send to old number still able to reach new telco after porting? no extra charges like forwarding over new telco right?


I prefer prepaid at this moment as i dont wanna tie to any contract.
