QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 5 2012, 01:20 PM) Launch mobile odin Benny Sifu:Select OPEN FILE - and browse and choose the stock 2.3.6 firmware tar file You will see a listing of all the files selected : kernel, system, data, modem etc etc Replace the kernel file with the CWM extracted tar file ( MUST be in tar format ) Select flash firmware this method will not increase counter Maybe softbrick, managed to to reflash with 2.3.6 with PC Odin3..rooting is gone. Can I reflash back to 2.3.5 again using PC Odin3? then rooting... again using Mobile Odin lite to upgrade 2.3.6? Where to get CWM extracted tar file? Question: Don't know what cause the softbrick.. Mobile Odin, once listing all partition, should I select any partition before flash firmware? Coz, I didnt select any partition & straight away click the flashing firmware to check sum...once reboot...stuck at N7000 screen......should I wait for 5 mins? |

Uncle Benny,
Before I start using Mobile Odin lite again, firmware 2.3.6 saved into External SD or Internal SD? (Previously saved into External SD & get softbrick) |

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Jan 6 2012, 12:17 PM) Yup, Samsung Original Leather Pouch is the thinnest and flattest. Hardly any bulk. If you want to carry it on your pocket, don't like cases that make it look bulky, like to show the orginal slim form of the phone and still want some protection, this is the way to go. Totally agreed, Casing like Book cover/diary case/side flip certainly looks bulky & only can carry in hand & not in the pocket, even though they looks so nice but not practical in reallife....Try downflip casing like Melkco or Pdair and Leather Pouch will be slimmer if you want to put in your pocket..Say for those people who have bought or planning to buy Zenus type diary case, how do you guys intend to carry it? All the time in the hand? In your pocket? Just curious. Zenus is flip up. For flip down, I think only PDair T41 but it does not have slots for cards etc. |

Guys,
1) Got 3 tweaks ROM, which one to recommend to update? 2) Did all these ROM support Chinese character too? 3) Install with CWM or Mobile Odin? CheckROM V2, RocketROM V14, XXKL7_deodexed_PowerTweaks.zip This post has been edited by clfoong: Jan 7 2012, 07:48 PM |

Guys,
Only my own feeling towards 3 ROMs as below: 1) CheckROM V2- A lot bloatware has been removed (That's why ROM size only 3xxmb, but can be restore back using KitchenPro), including Digital clock at Home screen.....But when you try to restore more stock app back to phone, the phone getting slower (Fresh Flashing intially really fast)..Advantage of CheckROM, you are able to use KitchenPro to customise install, Kernel, BootAnimation, Themes, Mod, etc.. But unable to get back to stock Digital clock on Home screen. 2) XXKL7-PowerTweaks - Slow...mayb due to lower CPU speed to prolong battery life. 3) RocketROM V14- Really fast, means battery drains quite fast compared to CheckROM & Power Tweaks. Overall very smooth.. Currently using RocketROM...might be switch back to CheckROM, due to KitchenPro for more customization.. Questions: How to get back Google Map? Anyone? |

Yes fake alright. I bought from him on eBay n he argue with me saying he did not say is original melko. Some more said at his offer price vs original I should know. A real jerk this seller Luckily, I was doubt abt it, almost gonna bank in last Saturday...Thanks, Uncle Benny, BTW, I'm using RocketROM V15, with installed pre-downloaded CallRecorder & New Market 3.4.4 zip from KitchenPro (When Im in CheckROM)...happy with this ROM for the moment.. |
