hi! new nexus s user here! was using SII previously but downgraded due to financial issues of course cant compare the nexus s to the absolute perfect SII but i just love the form of the nexus!

You are right, there's no smart dialing ( I think that's what this feature is called ) in the standard ROM, you can try to find in the market for some dialer apps. But I am used to pressing the search button and using the keyboard instead to look for friends.

oh ya...is call smart dialing...hahahah

just got mine as well yesterday, so far very satisfied with it, n patiently wait for ota ics.

Btw, may i ask, is the 3.5mm headset that come with it is the normal type where Samsung give together with their other phone? Im asking bcos mine seem to missing from the package.

1 thing i super like the phone is the keyboard input. fell like my x-iphone. hardly press wrong key comapre with my tab 7+ / tab 7.


but things i don like was the power button, i wish the new model power button will built on top and not side. as i always press volumn button and then accidentally press power button as well.

overwall, this unit is vy responsive even i switch on the live wallpaper..mayb it does not load much apps..

Yes, it is a standard jack.


Samsung Android phone always has it power button on its side. I prefer it on the side coz phone now is becoming taller and taller. Soon, you can't reach the power button one handed. Furthermore, it feels more secured on the palm when power on instead feeling of dropping when pressing on top.

I used melkco and it scratched the back cover of my nexus.

is it due to rough inner part of case? thx for feedback.. was gonna buy that too... wat do u use now..

Got myself 2 Mercury case from e-bay. Order on 15/12/11 and receive it by 22/12/11. Really fast delivery.

The case fit the phone nicely. Mine is i9020T.

Yes..due to rough inner part and it also too tight to fit in. Still using this case and so disappointed with it. Now I'm hunting the ori back cover to replace the old one but no where to find.
