i am seriously considering getting the exora bold in the near time

however by looking at the features they are offering for p3-21a (refer here), makes me worry a bit. who knows in few months time they will introduce Exora Bold FL with DRL, start button, rain sensor, ESC etc, etc since they oredi done it on the p3-21a -> something like the FLX vs FL case.

i've been looking at exora ads in mudah, some dealer are offering unbelievable discounts (for bold premium, which afaik dun have dicount), some offer free iphone, some free lcd tv..

are these scams? anybody got free lcd tv or iphone before?

fyi i just received my exora last thursday (17/05). arrived from factory the previous day. odo shows 20km (the dealer brought to tint shop)
i'm aware of the common problems related to eb's. so after 4 days and 350+km, from my observation my eb does not have all these common problems:
- jerking of the cvt gb
- intermittent aircond
- engine shut off
- dashboard rattling
- weird engine sound
- oil leaking
- friction on door handle (they're not touching at all)
- strange sound after hitting potholes

what i do have:
- wind noise on driver's window. but really minimal one. almost unnoticeable.
- hu only managed 2 find hitz.fm & nothing else. maybe dealer wrongly installed the antenna

my AFC so far is 9.7. prior to my trip to nilai (fr malacca), the AFC was even lower.

from what i see, proton has manage to sort out most of the problems faced by earlier batches of eb.

then again, it might be too early to judge

other than the standard free gifts (gps, boot organiser, cargo net etc), dealer offer me either: full tank + smart tag + steering lock or premium tint
i opt for tint

paint is very thin indeed. same like perodua. thats why i opt for solid paint, easy to touch-up
alignment overall ok, slight offset to the right. same as my previous renault. maybe continental setting is like that

will update later.

took me around 3 weeks. told dealer i want a fresh-from-factory unit, so need to wait for new delivery from shah.alam. if i were to choose gold/cocoa color, waiting time will be even longer.

bought from proton edar bachang. from my observation, better to buy proton straight from them (proton edar), not thru eon/dealer. their stocks are fresher too, thus higher possibility of getting a newer batch car.

i use 'normal' number liao

this is not recommended as mentioned in manual.

sorry to say this, but i noticed there are few 'problems' raised by eb owners which actually shows they arent reading the manual, ie
- the fan will activated after engine is shut off -> this is not a problem
- when DTE is less than 50km, system will display '--' -> not a problem too
- dun timbang ur cvt while stationary at hill -> can cause the engine to stall
- when odo less than 1k, dun go beyond 120kmh / 3k rpm

btw, i'm in sabah now. while i was in the airbus a320, i noticed the aircond oso like eb, sometimes cold, sometimes less cold. lol

agree. owners shud make some effort to understand the car to avoid unnecessary problems & complaints in the future.

btw bro, what do u mean by 'rocking a bit'?
is it making kiok-kiok sound, or u can feel the seat slightly moving?
if the later, have u make sure the seat is 'locked' after u adjust it? try push the seat from behind until hear the lock sound

mine is around 3 weeks, solid white..
u made the rite decision bro. prior i was having difficulties of satisfying everybody in the family, choosing between mazda5, stream & rondo. thanked god eb came around. my kids love the space & dvd, wifey loves the leather (easy to clean) & extra aircond, me of course - the power, handling & extra features. now everybody's happy. eb truly is a family car.
