I sourced from their official UK website. Ist issue still TIGER 1 model.

Even the poster on my local mamak shop showed a different assortment. I will go back to buy issue 3 cuz last night he quoted me RM 19.90 when I can clearly see R29.90 on the top right of the cover. I guessed he may had assume 2nd issue price.

If only the TIGER 1 was mass produced fast & eliminate the US tanks before its weakness was realised.

Hopefully this is just sneak preview and later will re-release all back issues into the market. I have been to 10 magazine stalls/ shops which are known to bring in hobby magazines with freebies but only half of them have the Combat Tanks magazines offered to them. All have posters but half claimed issue 1 didnt arrive.

I just got one set of 1st and 2nd issue from the 14th mamak store near Kelana Jaya LRT station. Condition of magazine so so only but happy to get my Tiger tank. I dun place any hope on big book stores, aim for those shops which I know carry other magazine w freebies like DC Universe, Mdlaren F1, Gems or Warships.

I got mine from a mamak store at taman megah (near kelana jaya lrt). Currently it has issue 3 only as I got the last copy of issue no.1 and 2 from him on Tue. Condition so so as the shop guy ransacked the back of the shop to check if any left.

BORDERS and POPULAR also have but the ones I went to, only left issue 2 and 3. Dont worry if you dun see the tank. They basically removed the tanks and you can redeem at the counter when paying. They do so to avoid getting stolen.

Well, I guess most Popular branch will bring in the magazine. Went scouting for it and found out that issue 2 and 3 are still aplenty in Popular Sunway Pyramid, but none in IOI Mall Puchong.

So far I found mine in Popular Wangsa Walk and Kinokuniya KLCC.

Yup. I spotted 2 and 3 at POPULAR Sunway..hanging by the magazine racks.

where is the location of the stall in Tmn Tun? Near where?

Pls update, as I wanna go there today itself!

The Jadg is my personal favourite tank, as back in my younger days, it was my 1st model kit that I bought in asia jaya top floor, where the shop there sold model kits and hobby stuff, including those tamiya remote control models(grasshopper, hotshot, etc). Saved up every single sen just to buy the kit... wub.gif

cheers!

Asia Jaya..that is once a happening shopping centre back in 70s. I got my 1st Tiger model kit from FAJAR superstore, Damansara Utama.

Also frequent to Jaya's Kathy's Toys...ahh..those were the days.

Added on December 29, 2011, 6:21 pmNot bad courtesy free gift from the Publisher. I guess they expect that many would be dissapointed if this tank series was halted.

I do hope they restart the series again next year.

Knowing those places betrays your age... hehe. Yeah, I used to frequent the toy section of Fajar as well as Kathy and Ding Dong toys as well wink.gif

Well, if they do resume the publication, we'll get our free gift. I'm one of the many, who is disappointed with the stop in these  publications.

Ha ha, never too old for toys. Back in those days have to save daily just to buy the model kit. Model kits was plentiful at many dept stores incl Parkson and TRU during the 90s but gone by now.

Now I go to a stall in SS2 Mall to get my fix on some model kits i like. The stall owner also perform model kit building and painting.

These tank magazine are awesome. Priced within my budget. Wished the magazine talked more on the respective tank models.

The model kit / building stall is located at the 1st Flr (below Times bookshop). He usually only starts after 1pm.

There used to be one huge model kit shop at Mid Valley...wonder where they have moved?

Clear observations and remark given there, Tank Commander Tiger 1.

German tanks during WW2 are my favourite..cool design and strong firepower. Installed fear to the Allied tank forces.

I was at POPULAR ONE U on Sun. There was 2 copies of the Jagpanther tank issue on display rack near magazine section. One of the tanks had its wheels dropped off from the tracks. No other damages spotted but you definately have to take it out from packaging and glue the wheel back.

Damage could be due to poor handling conditions.

If Im gonna collect those WW2 German tanks, still gonna cost me a bomb. Hopefully distributor dun stop halfway. Mamak shops (the selected bigger ones) carry so many issue one. Plenty for everyone.

Im keeping my seatbelt on for the preview of the tanks from your friend.

AllScript offer one display case. Need to ask them if they can sell separately since there are many tanks to go. Would be nice if they can mail a free case every year for continuing subscriptions not to mention free models.

I wish all the subsequent tanks had a historical picture for the backdrop as they did for Tiger tank 1st issue. Gave a nostalgic feeling to the historic tank.

Next issue is the M1 Abrams...so called never been destroyed in battles so far...(as i read from its magazine).

better start early since 1st issue is MYR 9.90 and second one is MYR 19.90 smile.gif

but i doubt can find 1st issue now-lah laugh.gif

I agree. Now Allscript offer Tiger 1 tank magazine to many bookstores/ bookshop/ mamak stores. So many that I had to pick the best painted tank. Some of the wheels lining are not properly painted. Well, its only RM 9.90 for now.

With 100 tanks confirmed, we need at least 9 display case from Allscript.

I was at BORDERS and POPULAR Curve and I noticed that the Tiger Tanks are yellow card without the photo backdrop card. Both magazines included.

Apparently only issue no. 1 had the special background w stats.

Issue 2, 3 and 4 which was released some months back also came with yellow card.

The mamak magazine shop located at IPC LG also had yellow card. It could be 2nd production run. Dun think its variant.

However other places still have the black card with backdrop card edition.

Most of the stores I asked for issue 2 also cant be sure. But they are many customers asking abt it eagerly.
