before this, i am using a RM50 commitment plan. its just plain calls and sms, no data or watsoeva cos my phone is the conventional type..

yesterday, i went for the prelaunch and got a iphone 4S...so they send me a text saying something like my new ivalue1 is activated...question...does that mean that they just terminated my line and activate with ivalue1? so does that mean my bill will now start from 16th dec? wat happen to my balance on the previous RM50 plan?

You are automatically upgraded to the new plan since you purchased the new iPhone 4S. So yes, you will start with new bill from now on.

About your balance from previous plan, I'm not sure. Don't think they gonna refund it. Or perhaps they will by deducting it from your upcoming first bill.

Balance previous RM50, will pro-rate.

1st e.g. So far this RM50 billing cycle you use RM40.
e.g. 15/30 days (just rough calculation, you have to wait your actual billing)
= RM50 plan / 2
= RM25 entitlement

But you use RM40, hence you exceed the RM50 plan and may charge accordingly.


2nd e.g. So far this RM50 billing cycle you use RM10.
e.g. 15/30 days (just rough calculation, you have to wait your actual billing)
= RM50 plan / 2
= RM25 entitlement

But you use RM10, so they will charge RM25.



For the new iValue1

Please note, your billing date may not be 16th. Perhaps it can be 20th or other date.
Therefore, your 16-20 (4 days) usage is also pro-rated.
i.e. 4/30 days x RM100
= RM13.33

Your calls & sms will also pro-rate

Your data-plan also pro-rate
i.e. 4/30 days x 1GB
= 133.33MB for this 4 days only.

Repeat again, if your billing date is different day, re-calculate yourself.

how come telco rrp is more exp than apple store price?. exp by 100

your normal plan is value plus, so now they upgrade your current plan to iValue, then your 1st month bill iValue plan will be abit complicated after second bill will be fine already =)

FYI I took only a grand total of 6 pictures. Whatsapp get message and reply on average 10 - 20 mins apart, posted 2 tweets, talked on the phone 3 times each call lasting about 5 mins. Didn't even post on LYN, just surf and view for approx 5 mins every half an hour. Facebook was accessed to view only also sporadically. Use of Siri was also occasional at best. Else it was on sleep in my pocket.

My 4S will only last 3 hours at best with continuous use.

Need to wait bit, I guess. If after or two hours still cannot, then it might be your phone being problematic. How long have you been trying to login?
