Depends. Last year, those who choose 2 years contract, the device has 24 months warranty.
Those who choose 1 year, only 12 months warranty.

Also, it depends on your usage and your prediction on your own future. If you are going to use similiar usage, and no plan to upgrade iPhone5, then maybe can choose 2 years.

If after contract over, you can change to cheaper contract or other plans. Otherwise, you may stick with the same plan also, i.e. you are not tied to the 12/24 months contract already, and you are free to terminate, upgrade/downgrade, MNP, etc.

Balance previous RM50, will pro-rate.

1st e.g. So far this RM50 billing cycle you use RM40.
e.g. 15/30 days (just rough calculation, you have to wait your actual billing)
= RM50 plan / 2
= RM25 entitlement

But you use RM40, hence you exceed the RM50 plan and may charge accordingly.


2nd e.g. So far this RM50 billing cycle you use RM10.
e.g. 15/30 days (just rough calculation, you have to wait your actual billing)
= RM50 plan / 2
= RM25 entitlement

But you use RM10, so they will charge RM25.

Please note, your billing date may not be 16th. Perhaps it can be 20th or other date.
Therefore, your 16-20 (4 days) usage is also pro-rated.
i.e. 4/30 days x RM100
= RM13.33

Your calls & sms will also pro-rate

Your data-plan also pro-rate
i.e. 4/30 days x 1GB
= 133.33MB for this 4 days only.

Repeat again, if your billing date is different day, re-calculate yourself.
