yeah someone added on one of the threads, no diff one for apple Li-ion battery, am i right in usin that term?
Li-on? or Li-ion? hahahaha cause i'm not familiar with these hardware terms,
but anyway, can charge whenever, don't need to wait til 20% or 50% for better life as some people are saying.
can charge any time you want, but once in a while do a full drain, all the way til ur phone dies, then charge back up to 100%
and also do something called trickle charge once in a while, meaning once its reached 100% u leave it charging for another few hours
apparently these steps can maximise the life of your battery.
someone who is more knowledgeable in this field pls correct me if im wrong, or agree if im right thanks hahaha
Everything is correct except the trickle charge part. You can do trickle charge every time if you want to get more juice charged for usage (100% instead of 80% for 2-hour) and it will not maximise the lifespan of your battery but the timespan between charges.Li-on? or Li-ion? hahahaha cause i'm not familiar with these hardware terms,

And also the full drain part is only necessary if you plug into power almost all the time at home because the juice is stagnant inside, not good if over a month. If you re normal user, no need to do full drain because you are already full draining it every 1-2days by using on battery.
On USB charging, you can plug unplug to charge anytime to any amount, no need 100%. USB charging is the same as charger but lower/slower voltage to charge only. So no harm using it.
Not many realize this but one of the thing that really can damage the battery is not the charger or the charging method but the casing we use. Try avoid those bulky thick and hard to remove casing for your iPhone. And also those flip leather case will really kills the battery with the heat generated when plug in for charging. If possible, remove them before charging because heat is the no.1 killer of battery, not charging methods.
For me, I just use a simple pouch and a naked iPhone, not just to protect the battery but the phone design is too nice to be covered by all those ugly cases. I know if drop sure pecah and cry, but I dare to risk it because it just hold and feel so much better without a casing. (please don't listen to me if you know you drop your phone twice a week ;p )
Oh ya one more thing, don't use china made charger, get ori or those branded one like Belkin if you need an extra charger for home and office or or car. For car charger, another precaution is not to plug in before you start the car. Plug it in only after your car is moving.
Hope this helps.
