Anyone knows how those i-clay or so called light air dry clay. I found it quite easy to handle as it is air dry no need bake. But is not so good for mini stuffs.

Making mini's with I-Clay is quite easy if you know the proper technique in handling and shaping.

How to prevent clay from cracking? I once build something out of PlayDoh and it cracked. I bough a small box of new type of clay which is very light but have yet open it up.
*
Depends on the material used. PlayDoh will crack no matter what you try to do once it dried.

With I-Clay if i make a clay model like the ones pictured above, it will not crack.

Another thing that will help is before you shape, knead and stretch the clay to get rid of the air bubbles.

Raichu do you wear glove when you make them? If not won't it get fingerprints all over?

And how do you treat it after you finished making them? I mean if you leave it as it is dust will start to stick on them and impossible to remove.
You're pretty good. Can I have that Teddy Bear with a ribbon on it?
*
Nah , i dont use gloves. The hardest part in modeling is learning to control the pressure of your fingers. Pretend ur dealing with a hot hard boil egg.
Humidity has alot to do with the fingerprints also, so if u are in a hot place or sweaty hands, since iclay is water based, you will leave fingerprints. A nice air con room will cure that. If you REALLY have sweaty hand in air con, use a little baby lotion.

As for treatment, if you do not plan to re-cycle the clay, the cheapest is to use clear finger nail polish.

For KL and Selangor contact:

Mr. T.K. OWN
GOLDHUAT TRADING
Tel: 012-210-1133
tkown_ght@yahoo.com.sg

Ask for the Adult lessons taught by Ms. Ginny, she is one of our qualified trainers. Good to take her class and be ready for the Professional Korean Clay Training in Aug, taught by special Korean Instructor from the Korean Clay Arts Institute ( this special intermediate workshop will be a 2 day course , place TBA. seats are limited, once you pass and practice, you can qualify for the Advance Professional Training sometime during end of the year...). Tell them you were referred by Danny at Clay4Fun HQ.

Well looking at the site, this clay will harden, but more to a rubber type substance rather than hard as a rock. But the clay is recycleable, meaninging months later when u dont want , you can make it soft again and reuse. Im an Authorize Distributor of the clay for all of Malaysia and get it directly from Korea. One of the box set is on page 3 post 50 i think.
