Well having something like that is one way to convince casual consumer to pick a PSVita over an iPad. else PSVita will only appeal to hardcore gamer only and frankly, that is not that big of a market.
They already started with twitter, foursquare, facebook and skype app. I'm sure there will be more apps in the future.
Here's another app coming for PS Vita - Nico Nico App. This is the equivalent of YouTube and Ustream built in one for Japanese market. The App lets you stream live video from Nico Nico website, concerts, live press and internet TV hosted on Nico Nico. They are currently working on an API for Sony that developers could add in their games to let you stream live Vita gameplays to Nico Nico website as well.They already started with twitter, foursquare, facebook and skype app. I'm sure there will be more apps in the future.
