Sorry for late reply, went to Indonesia.

Well, I brought the screen protector at Tropicana mall, Petaling Jaya. I don't remember the name of the shop but it's near the Cinema at third floor. The seller said that it's a screen protector from Hori, selling at a price of RM 30 and helping me to install it on my Vita with another charges of RM 10. I manage to reduce the price until RM 35 including installation. The worst part is that i didn't check whether the packaging of the screen protector having it's logo "Hori".

Why i realize it's a fake Hori screen protector:

i. The packaging of the screen protector isn't like the original Hori. As far as i know, the packaging of the Hori screen protector are having few several types including red, blue, orange, green and black color packaging. Each with it's own uniqueness. The orange and black packaging Hori screen protector is the only type that covers the screen only, but the packaging of the screen protector of that shop that i brought from definitely don't look like the Hori's packaging.

Red: Glossy Front Film
Blue: Matte Front Film
Black: Anti-Reflection/Anti-Glare Screen Film
Orange: Standard Screen Film
Green: "Repair" Front Film

ii. The price is too cheap for a Original Hori screen protector, the best online price i got from a reliable and famous online seller is Rm 45 for the Red and Blue original Hori screen protector.

iii. The screen protector that i brought covers the screen including the PS Vita logo, but from what i see on the main site of Hori, the original screen protector are suppose only to cover the screen only, not inclusive of the logo.

iv. After buying for a few days, i realize that the screen protector on the edge of my screen are starting to come loosen at the edge. It's hard to describe it here, so maybe i will share a picture later. It's actually very minor and doesn't really affect my game play or anything, but for the price that i paid, it's a disappointment...

You can see that there is an air compartment on the edge of my screen protector, it's breathing air underneath the screen protector on the edge.



Nope, I brought a Vita WiFi unit with 16GB memory card.

Okay... anyone running into this experience with PSN yet?
I am downloading a DLC pack from the HK server... Then kept having stuck at the Preparing to Download notification... And cancelled it will literally lock me at the DLC screen with no way to get out (PS button is not working), I would consider it "FROZEN" (although my patient barely allows me to sit through 5 minutes, so yeah)... Took me 4 times ON/OFF VITA just to get the dlc downloaded... The maintenance was supposedly slated for two days ago...

Edit：Just realized there was a latest FW released which we have to manually update... I wonder if this has anything to do with it...

I do encountered same problem too. I tried download free game from PS+, happened same as you, stuck at preparing to download notification screen, after that can't get out PS store by press PS button. Power off Vita once, succeed with second tried. Maybe related to FW2.10??

Already upgraded to FW2.11 this morning, no time to try on download issue (any improvement after implemented new FW??)

Sorry to hear that mate. It is either Brother Game Enterprise (typical pasar malam games seller) or Gamer's Hideout (supposedly reputable but expensive games shop). For me if you want to go cheap, go all the way like RM 20 or less screen protector. You pay for what you get.

Yeah, I was done with my update only after completing the download... Couldn't test it either... Glad the VITA still runs fine after numerous forceful shutdown, so far
I knew there was a "VERY minor complaint" about experiencing slight lag when you return to game after awakening the system from sleep mode. I thought I was the only one experiencing it, but just not giving too much thought about it as it only lasts split second...

Yeah, same here. Happens to me too!
There is a slight lag when i open my Vita from sleep mode and freeze when i tried to download from PSN. I also happen to have lagging when i tried to download too many files. ( 4.5 gb, two games )
I thought it was because i downloaded porn with it, thank god it's the system update that is causing the laggy.

Haven't had chance to test the download issue since i do not have anything to d/l atm... the slight lag was improved after the 2.11, still it will occur occasionally...

Bought a protector recently for Rm20. The packaging said that its Hori but i doubt it. Applied it myself and it seems to be holding up fine.

Wah.....Malaysia sell hori screen protector that munch expensive. I brought it at Japan only for 553 Japanese yen that convert to ringgit for only less then rm20. And at Malaysia they sell the ori like rm40 to rm60.

Yup!! They are selling with insane price. Plus, There is a lot of *fake* Hori product that look very similar.
I just got my 3rd party pouch and silicon, both also under the brand Hori, which looks very similar but the seller told me it's 3rd party.


You can play R1 games but you cannot download the DLC.

Where you buy your silicon case? And how munch you brought? I also planing to get one silicon case for my vita.

The silicon case is only Rm 20, and the packaging is the same as the original Hori but the seller told me that it's third party and selling at a cheap price. As for my opinion, I like the silicon case that i brought, though there is some very very very minor things that i am not happy with.

If you want to buy original, u can also try getting it through pbbseller, he is selling at Rm 55 if i can recall correctly. But the last time i asked which is last week, he doesn't have the stock.

Didnt meant it that way. My point is that it is safe to assume that all accessories out there are 3rd party product unless you are getting it from a reputable seller. Nevertheless, you have to do your own homework before getting anything.

i dont think is replacement , thats an accesory set analog cap just for you to feel comfortable to touch .

the only problem for analog is auto move forward which i heard alot feedback members they played call of duty declassified affect so the major problem is software.

Yeah, recently, i still have several software issue even with 2.11 system.
I still face some lag when I open my lock screen after not using it for a while, and occasionally facing download problem at PSN. Though, it isn't much an issue for me.
