Bet the words STREET somehow caught ya.
Well, I'm glad you clicked on this post because you are in for an AWESUMM treat.

If you've not heard of Ari Marcopoulos, it's about time. He is one heck of a street photographer whom speaks right through his lenses - portraying young skater punks in the most delicate manner. Well recently Incase decided to design + invent a bag that is customised for a street photographer such as he. Now, there are thousands of 'em carrying the Incase Ari Marcopoulos, doing what they love.

Behold ladies + gentlemanlyman, the Incase Ari Marcopoulos....

If you're looking for a bag that doesn't remotely look like a camera bag, slapped with the kool factor, this is the one for you.

FEATURES OF THE INCASE ARI MARCOPOULOS:

+ Heavy-duty canvas construction with water-repellent coating. Which means it last through your toughest street usage.

+ Adjustable padded DSLR camera and lens compartments - prep it up however you want it to be
+ Reversible ergonomic, padded across-the-body shoulder strap with one-handed adjustment slack pull and large side release buckle

user posted image

+ Quick-access point-and-shoot camera pocket with faux-fur interior and protective flap with magnetic closure

user posted image

+ Removable rain cover with custom Ari Marcopolous print

user posted image

+ iPad or Macbook Air slip pocket with faux-fur lining

user posted image

+ Zippered access to padded interior storage compartment
+ Exterior cargo straps - made of airplane-grade aluminium and seatbelt quality straps . Just as how airplanes and seatbelts go, they do not wear out fast overtime.

user posted image

+ Interior pocket for documents
+ Interior zippered pocket

user posted image

+ Padded haul handle
+ Two interior side stash pockets
+ Custom Ari Marcopoulos branding elements

Most of all, it actually looks nothing like a camera bag and fits in your casual street style. Just swing the bag back and forth for extreme quick access to your gear. It fits incredibly alot of things in here.

Different photographers gives different feedbacks about the bag.
No bag is can be found to be absolutely perfect. It's just finding what's perfect for you. Heh.
We would by all means say its best if you research thoroughly to see what the overall crowd says - cause that was the very reason why we believe in the bag in the first place anyway. nod.gif

We are also photographers and we ourselves have tested out the Incase Ari before letting it convince us or turn us off.
Our conclusion? We love every bit of it!

got myself a bag from jajabinx here, here's a small review : -
what i like about the bag,
- the looks! it looks cool and really nice.
- it stands out, it attracts attention, but not the WRONG kind of attention
- it fits my stuff nicely, it CAN fit a camera with grip and lens attached but its very tight, not really nice. fits my 60D + 17-50 attached, nissin di622, samyang 8mm fisheye, fujifilm x10, blackberry, wallet, ipad, and all the small stuff like batteries, etc etc.
- there's a padded area in the bag, which is sort of a quick access area (as can be seen outside the bag, the flap. lift the flap, unzip the zip then you can get whatever's inside that compartment). when i went to singapore, i used it to put my passport etc etc. normally people use it for compacts, but when i put my fuji x10 inside its hard to take out coz the zip's kinda small.
- the material the bag is made of, its rough but smooth at the same time O.O. sort of like those gunny sack material where people put rice in, but smoother. there were a few cases where i dripped food on it (chocolate, gravy, curry, yes i'm a messy eater) which would definetely have left a stain permanently on any bag, i just used a wet tissue and rubbed it vigorously and everything came off! it's also water resistant! the wet water mark will disappear after awhile, and the bag will look brand new!

what i don't like about the bag
- price.
- the weight distribution, its not as good as one would think. the thick padded strap is actually the main problem ( especially for those without broad shoulders, namely me lol). it puts all the weight of the bag on one shoulder, but if you want can just sling it over the right shoulder, but less secure than over the body though.
- price.
- bag isn't as big as i thought. but its big enough for what i need.
- price.
- its bulky a bit, but if you tighten the strap so that its very close to your body shouldn't be a problem, but i banged a lot of people when i'm out with this bag lol.
- price.
- the compartment dividers inside the bag is only specifically designed that way, meaning you can't move the divider slightly to the left, or to the right. you can either leave it where it is or just take it out coz the velcro is only at that spot. i would have choosen to move the divider seperating my camera and my lens a bit, so that my camera has more space, the compartment for the camera seems tight a bit, but not a big problem.

well, all i can say is, if you've got loads of gear, trying to fit everything into this bag, please DON'T get this bag. it's just not worth it! get this bag only if you're those hobby-ists looking for a nice little bag to carry just what one would need for jalan jalan.

it can fit a 70-200L standing though, just that the weight would be...... if you've got a 5D mk2 with grip + 24-105 + a few other L's and speedlites and NEED/WANT to fit everything in this bag, don't get it! better off with a backpack!

best is you could bring what you want to fit into the bag to the shop to check out whether you can fit what you need. don't worry, jajabinx is a really nice person and the customer service there is GREAT! i got lost for almost an hour and luckily she guided my way there.

Hey LinTao!

Thank you for your honest feedback! We really appreciate that! =)

I think it depends on the photographer as well. We have had customers who owns a 5D Mark2 and with added gear + grip and didn't find any problem with the Incase Ari. In fact, they came back with their pals. Heh

I think it depends also on your body built, your organisation skills (not that I'm doubting you, but it's something I learnt to be ABSOLUTELY crucial especially for photographers, heh), how frequent and how long you've been photographing (cause the longer and more frequent you photograph, your body will overtime understand the weight of the regular gears you normally carry. It's a form of 'training' as well, lest that we realise. If you don't usually carry your gears around as it is, then any weight would be potentially burdensome). And any other factors can potentially play a part in affecting your experience with the bag. Just as any other camera bag goes.

But I think buyers have to bear in mind that this is built for street photography. And it is also a one-shoulder bag - only designed with really thick pads to make it comfy for you as compared to the rest. And close to your body - so that the weight is lighter than the usual sling. And ergonomic - so that you can swing and access your gear super fast and secure, wayyyy better than the normal sling. It has been tested by Incase USA and street photographers whom they worked with over and over again in order to produce this little baby.

And dudes~ Talk about not having big, black, ugly yo.

While most of our customers, well, actually all came back with positive feedback, I still really appreciate your feedback too LinTao! Thank you!

don't get be wrong tongue.gif, i really love the bag, just thought that maybe some should know a few points before getting this bag. i've got no regrets getting this bag. i've used it as a normal bag as well, just put in my x10 in the compact camera compartment, remove all the dividers then can just put in books (like going to school) but i don't think there'd be people who would bring a bag with this kinda price tag to school tongue.gif. anyway, love the bag, do get this bag if you want a nice looking bag which can fit decent amount of gears and what you NEED. don't try to bring out all your gear coz it'll give you a sore neck later on tongue.gif
