Aluminum, like any other metal reacts with oxygen over time and loses its luster and shine when you first purchase it.

Try cleaning with a mixture of vinegar + water, tell me how it works out biggrin.gif

Try the BRASSO. Either come in tube paste or liquid. Can get at hardware shop.

It is for any metal that the surface is oxidize and dirty stain. Very effective. But for aluminium, there possible got 2 outcome result after apply. Either shinning gross or aluminium mate. Try it with small potion first and see the result.

Scientifically not very true, Aluminium is a kind of metal in which according to the periodic table, it is very fast oxidize and leave a layer of alu oxide on its top coat, this layer will keep the aluminium in shinny surface biggrin.gif and that is why you will never see aluminium rusted, this is what I learnt during materials engineering brows.gif
