The best option is to take a one year course beginning in Jan and ending in November. You will be able to get into Monash by next Feb, thus saving any "redundant" period.

The only setback is that places may have been fully taken up before your results are out, unless you are one of the top scorers and you are more or less "guaranteed" a place.

The "elite" Accounting and Finance degree course in Monash has got only one intake in February and its entrance requirements are quite high and I think, they have only one class for it.

The other Accounting and Finance courses has both Feb and July/ August intakes.
