Leveling is very important, and how/ where you want the water to flow. Cutting tools (Grinder, tiles cutter) is also a must to resize / cut the tile.

Need to cut, leveling, fitting and also do edge. You don't want to have sharp edge.

To create a level (with water flowing gradient) you mix the cement with sand. For the bonding of the screed surface with the tile, you mix the cement with water with "susu"

QUOTE(imin @ Dec 9 2011, 05:03 PM) what kind of susu should I ask at the hardware store then? just tell them that you want the adhesive for bonding of the tiles. They will know what you want. BTW, you need to roughen the cemented floor for good bonding. Else you will be picking up loose pieces.... This post has been edited by kelvyn: Dec 9 2011, 04:10 PM

QUOTE(imin @ Dec 9 2011, 05:17 PM) what do u mean by roughen? u mentioned that you are planning to put tiles onto your cemented corridor what... Since the cemented floor is smooth, you will need to make the rough so that it will bond with the tiles.

A rotary hammer with hammer function would not be cheap. As it just for a corridor, would not be expecting a large floor space. If it is really a large floor space, will need so tiling skill.
