Oh btw i introduced BubuChacha together for few days already, they besides clicking, hissing, grooming each other.. they wrestle and make that very loud screeching sound.. shud I just separate them ah ? Cus everytime they screech and I go see them, they stopped and gave me a look

I got a situation here. My glider hasn't been eating normally I believe. For few weeks already she's been eating very little. She didn't even finish the HPW that I gave ever since I switched from Instant HPW to the normal HPW starter kit. When I feed her papaya (those typical RM1 cut papayas that you can buy from MBG), she eats only 1 slice which is approximately 0.5cm thick only. There are nights whereby she didn't eat at all, but fortunately she still take the HPW (although didn't finish it).

But she's never greedy in the first place. Ever since I got her, she doesn't go the extra mile, even for snacks such as yogurt drops or honey. Basically she was never enticed by food.

Behaviour wise seems alright, still jumping around & still energetic. Size also is alright, not skinny or weak. The only concerning issue is the eating behaviour. Anyone experienced such situation before or got any clue what's wrong?

Today marks my irresponsibility, stupidity and ignorance.
My sugar glider, Pabu, died from dehydration.
It's been very hot for the pass few days and my sugar gliders were drinking quite a lot.
I did not notice that the 2 water bowls and 1 water bottle was empty.
Thinking that there's still water, I went out the whole day.
Came back around 6 finding that Pabu was very weak.
While in the car (friend driving) on the way to the vet, I tried to help her by adding some gatorade in water and then feeding her with syringe.
She took 2-3 drops and got a little active again but then I guess it was took late.
She died before we reached the vet.
I'm so sorry Pabu! Very very sorry. T_T
Kelvin I'm sorry I did this to your suggie's family, I do not deserve to own one. T_T

Sorry for your loss, but if a glider is taking the HPW daily, won't the water from the HPW be sufficient to prevent it from dying due to dehydration?

Also, how do you tell it's due to dehydration? I've looked up, one of the common test is the "Tent test" by pulling up the neck's skin. Based on that test, my glider is always dehydrated even though I do feed her with water from the syringe personally sometimes.

shes kinda shriveled up, very weak, did fur check, the water stations were all empty (HPW bowl, water bowl and water bottle), and when i tried feeding her with syringe she drank gladly.
she took around 3 drops and got a little better (moved a little) but then died few min afterwards. T_T

Hi iam just new owner of this sugar glider , this guy dunno from where came into my house and find food in my dustbin and i manage to catch him to keep it in a box ... for temporary ... and i already get a cage for him although not big enough for him, seem he still very fierce keep making crabbing sound not manage to go near ... need some time to get use to me

Is Instant HPW = HPW Complete?

I made it by just mixing with water (without honey), my SG polished the whole bowl.

SG are picky animals, once upon a time my SG doesn't like yogurt drops too. But now it's the opposite. Their taste bud will change, no worries.

hi, i understand that its not recomended to buy sg from pet store, as it is mass breed. i read about how the sg wont be easily tamed. but is there no hope at all? if we buy from pet store, the sg wont be bonded with us?

Hey guys..I just got my sugar glider (Kimchi) 1-2 weeks ago, and tried almost all the bonding techniques on the 1st page, and he will still lunge forward like wanting to bite my hand when i try to feed him...what should I do? Any useful links/tips? Thanks alot in advance..
