Sadly to say , Yes . infact my 9790 drains faster than my previous 9900 .

hahah . maybe my case is abit weird lehhhh ? i thought 9790 supposed to last longer too .dats why i downgraded from bb9900 to bb9790 . i'm updating my firmware now . hopefully got good news later my 9900 can last me 2 days with BBM + MSN(2G mode) and light browsing with 3G mode .

been using Official OS 7.0.0.528 ( can be downloaded at 1st page ) for few days . not the latest but at least stable to me . the battery more lasting than previous version .

how come no one mention bout the price? theres huge price diff between these two . besides the camera , i think 9900 is the better one but best function for its price definately 9790 .
