I think RIM implemented this to prevent the battery from overcharging.
Not really sure about this though, someone please correct me if I'm wrong. |

Loose trackpad is quite common actually. I buy used phones all the time and 3/5 of them have loose trackpad. It's something you have to live with or use your DIY skills to fix it.
Squeaky 'Q' can be fixed by changing the keypad. Or just live with it, no big deal. |
