I alien titanium backups ur apps and ability to move most apps to SD. But ur phone need to be rooted. Worth getting if u like me want to hv many apps :-)

I just bought this viewpad 10s at 699 3g + wifi add rm80 for 16gb as 32gb they sell for rm250 which is ridiculous at 3 times more of 16gb and 3% credit card charge. My comment on this is the shop's employees are ok except for the 1 bigger built guy ( suppose is the owner) who has the kind of "I know everything" attitude. Bought it for my 10 yr old daughter as xmas. Conclusion - cant access google android market, too sensitive touchscreen, viewing angles and design but at 699 cant complain much. The 7 inch has call capability thats why its at 799.
Now I would like to seek advise on how to upgrade to honeycomb by rooting ( complete guide pls as I'm no expert on this ). void warranty is ok. Read somewhere in the net that said ram can be upgraded to 2gb. Is it true? Oh, bal memory as new is about 250mb thereof.

rooting and flashing custom rom will void ur warranty but u can simply revert back to original firmware before claim warranty..

the most difficult part is step 1..u need to catch up the timing to enter the recovery mode..the timing hard to predict..some say 1 sec,some say 2 sec etc..u need to practice a lot of time..

viewcomb's thread in XDA was closed therefore no more support for it, u should put vegacomb in the first page, it's still going on. fyi viewcomb actually came from vegacomb with some modifications.

but XDA only support Viewsonic G Tablet and Viewpad 7 rite? I did not find support page for viewpad 10s.
Besides, the link that I posted in FP have the latest ViewComb, Build 6.3 and released on 11-26-2011.

advent vega tablet is the same as viewsonic 10s tablet

I still prefer viewcomb..both is nearly perfect..just flash anyone and wait for ics..

yeah I agree with u on the "I know everything" guy. He has some attitude problem and not very helpful. I felt they are not very straight forward with their answers. they will just say yes to anything just to close sales even it does not exists. maybe biz too good non stop customer walking in. I made them install android mkt for me but I later upgraded to honeycomb.

today can totally explore my new viewpad got some problem with internet connection,hopefully jywong will help me later..

can u tether viewpad with iphone 3gs? i read in net 3gs has adhoc wifii which is not supported by many tablets.

the android market seem like got probelm yesterday night..both my devices also showing "error creating order" when i tried to purchase..

of course lah, got 10cent promotion mah, the market was flooded

just curious and needed to ask the experienced in flashing the custom roms. do we still need to root the device before using the exe file from xda to flash moddedstock v2 and also viewcomb or vegacomb rom?

if still need to root it first we should use z4root right?
