i read about qbert ortofon .. the stylii .. usually die after 2 months or so ...
and it need replacement frequently ...

don't know about others ortofon though

i not sure la .. did u try changing skins? maybe it's a bug ...

guys.. i just bumped into the SMX boss and he's "forcing" me to take the IDJ2 to test drive.. i seriously want to test it out with you guys but if you guys don't want to have a gathering then it will be impossible ... so i'm proposing if friday night .. say 10pm onwards etc .. will it be possible for you guys because on weekend i might have to work .....

1) Those who just plain mix other people's songs.
I don't know what they call this type of DJ but they are ppl that called themself DJ by remixing other ppl's song. this takes up some skills as they need to beat match the song tempo and the key ...

2) Those more technical ones who scratch .
these DJs are usually known also as turntablist ... and the scene they are in are turntablism which usually involve turntables or CDJ with vinyl control. Most of these type of DJs are for shows only .. they are not suitable for clubs .. unless they are mixing songs which has some scratching / beat juggling in their set. They can't scratch for like 4 hours set ...

3) Or those very good ones who actually make their own music..
those who makes their own beat and music are usually producer instead of DJ

Are there actually like comparison among DJs themselves? Like, are there any politics that go like the more technical DJs dissing the other DJs who only do mixing on other people's songs at clubs?
in malaysia , there is alot of politics ...it's also alot to do with who you know and what you are in the DJ scene .. but then again , skills must be part of it ...
for the turntablist ... dissing another DJ using those records is part of show ....

Or are those DJs who only do mixing other people's songs considered inferior to those more technical DJs ? Cause I heard some people say that those who mix other's songs are not considered DJs .. They are only mixers? Something like that..

those who remix other people song are basically .. pretty simple ... all they need to do is take two songs with the same beat/tempo/pitch and put it together .. and everything will run smootly ..... but of course .. there will be good remix and bad ...

nearing weekend all sure MIA one .. that's why gathering always cancel ...

if i get the IDJ2 , i'll just come la .. got ppl or not .. don't care already ..

office has been crazy last week and i'm expecting more the coming weeks...
suppose to go penang .. after my ipoh trip but i guess this trip most probably will be postponed to the following weekend .. so can't count me in for now .. but of cuz gathering stills can go on without me anyway...

erm... wasn't vincen't fault this time .. i had to bailed out last minute due to last minute work plan ..
if i wasn't outstation, i would have gone to his place on saturday night no matter what's the crowd.
this weekend , i might not make it also ... might head up to penang/northern states for work ..

erm no .. why ? when i place it on my records.. and it just slides... and i knew something was wrong ..

if u need small headphones + *not support like idiot* .... = Sennheiser HD-25 is the only answer ....
might be expensive but i can guarantee that this will be the only headphones u need to buy after this ...

so i guess will be buying from around here...

anyway speed, just curi some minyak mentah and simpan la .. then resell it in the black market... LOL
