Hello to all FF members here...

I am currently a member of celebrity member....I am thinking to change to other gyms..need to ask some questions

1) Does the gym faciliities always packed and we need to wait to use the machines;

2) Do we need to regsiter to join the classes which is always full? Is it frequent that the member cannot go into the class because it is already full occupied?

3) What is the pro and cons btw FF and Celebrity?? Thanks a lot...cheers!

I'm at Menara Axis.

1. For cardio area, not really as there are plenty of machines. For weights, probably a little packed.

2. Nope never registered for classes before. But then popular instructors tend to have packed classes, so go earlier. biggrin.gif

3. Never been to Celebrity Fitness before hehe.

Does the male room lockers fully taken up during the peak hours, i.e., after office hour on week day?

Does the male room very pack during the peak hours?

Thanks a lot for your reply.

have been a FF member several years back and found that I'm really lack of motivation to go gym alone...
I was told that it usually makes the workout session more interesting and effective in group as we can motivate and guide each other

Hence, I am thinking to look for a gym mate/group here who often doing workout in IOI Puchong FF on weekdays....any takers? icon_question.gif
will also try to workout at other FF branch to join other groups during weekend

P/S: I'm not gay and neither fishing for girls...my intention is just to make my workout a little more productive with the investment I have spent on the monthly membership

was it due to CF membership fees are cheaper or simply because the facilities are better?

Celibrity Fitness - Fees is not cheap anymore and depends which branch you go. Bigger gyms- RM173.00 for home membership and RM199.00 for all club. Smaller gym such as SS2, fees is lower.

Machine and facilitieis maintenances for old gym are an issue...they always take long time to repair it. But recently they have improved, I think partly due to the member turnover and to justify their fees increases.

Crowd control can be improved further....some pak hitam in the gyms. But I think FF may also have it??? (Pls comment)

For me, gym is too dark, like a disco pub. But then again, individual preferences. We need to bring our own lock for the locker....only the newest branch (eg. setiawalk) has the card system for the locker.

Pro - provide towels, some of the branch is bigger compare to FF (subang, midvalley & no all), inside the shopping malls - conveniene to for shopping and some ppl told me that they love the aerobic class here.

The membership consultant quoted me RM16X.00 for the home member and RM190.00 for the platinum. No different if compare to the existing FF branch offered. doh.gif

They currently set up a booth beside the Starbuck Paradigm and you can approach them. The gym will be opened in 14 Jan 13.

Let us know if they quoted you differently.

Hi,

Am currently a FF 1Mont Kiara member, one of their smallest gyms in KL

1) Does the gym faciliities always packed and we need to wait to use the machines;
Well naturally the gym is packed after office hours esspecially, but despite it's small nature, I still find time and space to do my workouts. The freestyle workout area here is great, and I was put off that the freestyle workout in CF in 1U was only for ppl going through Personal Training. Quite unecessary to be honest.

2) Do we need to regsiter to join the classes which is always full? Is it frequent that the member cannot go into the class because it is already full occupied?
So far we didn't have to register for our classes. Though Body Pump, Group TRX, and RPM classes you may need to, as I pointed out, the gym is the smallest of its brand.

3) What is the pro and cons btw FF and Celebrity?? Thanks a lot...cheers!
The pros is, FF trainers in 1MK actually do something when they have no clients. They are out their approaching members and have a chat in between sets, and to make sure you are doing your workout correctly, and lend a helping hand to perfect your form. The trainers also help to keep the gym clean, like making sure each equipment is clean and back at its original position. Unlike CF in 1U, I was shocked that the weights were scattered everywhere, and the machines there were not cleaned, and some of the handles had rust in it.

In the end of the day, it really is up to you which gym you choose to join. But let me say, when paying for the membership, you would really expect alot to come from the service you would want to get, or see happening. The FF gyms in 1MK and Menara Axis PJ that I've been so far, provide towels and has good lockers and shower system. So far I've been happy going there for my training.
