i am considering doing polycarbonate awning...still donno which type of material used for frame..balau,resak or metal steel?

So what is the best solution other than roof tiles?

if any good contractor pls recommend....im thinking to do mine as well...coz when its rain i have my autogate but miserable my car porch design from developer only cover my car ass (as i reverse park ) so why i still wet when having autogate....ermmm this is why,

3mm thickness already cost around rm27/sq ft....if thicker.......mahalnya.....

I still headache on choosing colour....i dont like green, blue and red colour.....now left brown and clear (no colour) to choose.....if use transparent, my 300++ sq ft balcony will always under hot sun....so, maybe will choose brown rough surface which can block 85% sunlight...haiz....another decision need to make is...use pergola type (balau wood) or metal frame.....metal easy to maintain....anyone give me some opinion?

I think you purchased an Un-Coated Polycarbonate ( Which is NOT Chemical Resistant)
Transparent Plastics allow Light, UV & IR to pass through ( Your Car Dash Board is NOT Transparent, therefore, with UV Retardant, it will not spoils after many years)
However, UV Retardant will not work with Transparent Plastics
UV will Damage all material, even your White Shirt will turn yellow

currently, new trend here seems to be supplying foam insulated zinc roof panels. maybe no need use those polycarbonates to make awning. so noisy n not.

yeah i know its old tech.. but dealer seems to be carrying it more. last time hard to check this product for availability for casual buyers.
