Unless they drive waaay too irresponsible I don't mind giving way to bikers. But why must they do that at such speeds? Others drove past me standing in the same position, but they didn't bang my car. Is their time worth so much that they risk others property and their own lifes?

The mirror isn't painted, but the plastic casing is broken.

Thanks for the info on insurance, not worth it then...

Like you say, they are irresponsible. Also, very self centered.

not like that, just give away for motorcyclist, not because you pay more roadtax, you can conquer the road.. just be tolerant smile.gif

I pay RM350 road tax for my bike yearly - can I flex my ego? Even if I choose to flex it, whats the point correct - it is not like I am going to get some VIP golden treatment.

I strongly believe both drivers & riders have to be more considerate and prudent when it comes to using the public roads.

800cc and above superbike spotted brows.gif

I drive and ride also, most of them i ride since it's easier to find parking in my Uni, and can avoid toll too..student where got money one laugh.gif

In 2 years time that I've ride a bike, only once I hit a car side mirror, a grey Kelisa in front traffic light Jalan Gasing. That was about a month after i first rode a bike. I instantly stop after hitting the Kelisa, look at the driver, nod a bit and put up my hand making sorry sign, and then off me go..didn't know if the driver cursed me inside the car but i did show my apologies. After that I always flip my side mirror when lane splitting to avoid hitting other cars.

normally if there's not enuff space to squeeze around I will stop and wait, but most of the cars will divert a bit to give space. I'll put my hand up saying thanks and squeeze away. If those kapcai riders would be more considerate i don't think there will be a problem because they always zig zagging like crazy...me as a rider also didn't understand..even when traffic jam also got kapcai passing through super fast.. shakehead.gif

My Kancil side mirror also has been hit few times by motorists before, and i feel like wanna hit them from behind everytime that happens vmad.gif

Car drivers can be just as bad, for example when they pretend to just come from the petrol station or that they are just entering the highway to skip a few cars, thus causing even more traffic jams...

Once some bikers were racing (!) through a traffic jam, one almost crashed. Unfortunately he wasn't hurt. Really mad at them, if they want to race find a racetrack or some deserted road, cars are not appropriate obstacles.

U can't judge all bikers as bad due to some bad apples. I met one who bang my side mirror during a traffic light. The guy hold up his hand apologetically, and i wave back, no harm done. But i met an idiot, who wore all black shirt during nighttime, no lights, and have the audacity to drive at the middle of the road and even honk at me when i cut in front of him. *******.

Yeah, of course. Btw. I also meant kapcais, I don't remember any of the bigger bikes drive as reckless as those tiny ones (more nimble I guess).

I just wish they'd drive slower, then everything'd be fine. If it's a bit too narrow I can make way if possible, if not, sorry then. But violently pushing through? If they are racing I kinda have the wish to just get into their way, force em to crash. Luckily I can control my temper, lol.

Someone cursed me cause I had to change lane and so was all over the place (car in front...). I made way behind me so they could get through, but he picked the wrong lane... so he was mad at me. WTF?

Btw. it happened on Tebrau Highway.

This is the damaged mirror...

Why can't they just fall of their kapcai and hurt themselves when they touch a car? No wonder they think they are invincible... they can even run away!

I had my mirrors scraped many times already in the past when i own my 130Y.

The worst was some motocyclist scraped and nudge my rear bumper AND my front bumper. What the hell????? My car not eating the middle line but the other car on the right was eating more to the middle line.

So who to blame? The other car and the motocyclist but still i feel like whacking the motocyclist more but cannot chase him because stuck in a jam. Plus i told my self, sucks to be that motocyclist because have to endure CO2, CO, H2O and loads of vitamin D while i am enjoying myself in a cool environment with music.

Patients lorrr.

U can curse the bike rider in your heart. Really hate those silly bikers. Those irresponsible 1.
There was once when i was stuck in jam, a bike bang his front wheel on my steel side step when doing zig zag. Luckily, it's steel side step, no damage. XD.
Some scratches on body also happened before. So, just curse them will do.
*
At least your cursing on traffic jam is reduced because of them.Stop complaining nuisance on the biker.
Ride one then only you know.Sometimes the cager are lazy ass to give attention to them even when they are suppose to do so.

I got also fot my NSX/Z33/Viva side mirror hit by them but for me it just a small matter,& the important thing they do not lose balance after certain thing hit them.I know it cost quite a $$$ for some but atleast the cager should be grateful to had all the comfort that they never had.

I also a biker & I dont bullshit since today stupid MOFO(turks people...not a malaysian I supposed) are suddenly change direction even after my lane turned green & then I hitted them in high speed but luckily not sustain any fatal accident, but even it was their own fault, they still wanted to b****in around which made me want to report to policeman nearby.Only after that his wife confronted me & saying all the apologize which I accepted with some payment for me to repair my bike front end. mad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

I ride.. a CBR... and most of my riding buddies think those 99% of the kapcai riders like got appointment in hell for the way they ride...

Oh ya.. sorry if I dont drive around centered on giving 100% priority to kapcai weaving aorudn the roads .... if I dont ride liek that, I dont give stupid excuses to peopel who ride liek that.

Yup,I was same side with MeToo...but still I do consider the biker that filtering through traffic jam as my main priority.
Because still no use to block them & creating much more standing time on traffic jam which I hate so much....

I don't mind people like you filtering through traffic, it's just the speed at which some do it. You constantly have to watch if there is someone coming from behind, while watching if someone is trying to cut into your lane, while watching for the one in front who might have to brake hard too (hell, even driving 180 on the Autobahn with medium traffic and everyone going a different speed is less stressful than stop and go in Malaysia).

And the same thing goes to the bikers, who also have to be very careful. So do it at reasonable speeds and nothing (hopefully) will happen. Not to you, not to the others. What's the rush? You'll get there eventually.

I'm not perfectly sure, but IIRC the other drivers that got past safely drove slower (still too fast) than the one who hit me. Couldn't even look for his number plate, didn't even really see him (and I was not moving).

Anyway, sorry to hear what happened to you. You didn't even get any compensation for the pain/injuries? Bikers have to be super careful because they are the weakest person on the road, especially since most don't wear good protective suits (expensive, uncomfortable, ...). Even if your helmet protects you during a crash you will be hurt badly. That's why I can't understand why some drive as they do. I won't get hurt if they crash into me, even if it's my fault (of course I try to avoid that, but sometimes you just don't see someone, or make a mistake, ...). It just costs me some money.

Stop complaining? No way. I will continue to do so cuz there's just too many silly irresponsible bikers around. I don't want to give example of those dangerous acts. Road user should know.

Some car drivers also no brain one. Mostly women. Even in the middle of packed traffic jam also wanna switch lane. For what? All the lane also same, STUCK but u still insist in changing lane. Maybe other lane got air cond. Not all but some of them. The worst driver is when they switching lane on 3 lane hiways, from the most left they go straight to most right without monitoring what come towards them.

Men also do that. Sometimes people need to change lane to get to the exit, and sometimes there's a faster lane. You shouldn't do it of course, but sometimes i do too. It wouldn't be an issue though if bikers would drive at reasonable speeds.

@westlife: To be honest there are bikes on the highway. In Germany IIRC only vehicles that can go 70 km/h or more are allowed on the Autobahn, and kapcais are limited to less than that. So you might see some superbike going 200+ km/h, some tourers, etc. They do take one lane though and do not squeeze through... they just don't behave like .... . Kapcai riders in general behave better there.
