Don't know why my this fish changed colour. The fish became darker and half of the back is now all dark blue. Now it looks entirely like a different fish!

QUOTE(edmund90 @ Dec 27 2011, 01:07 PM) well fancy(marble) gene betta will change their color due to age or water condition.. some will change to very nice color some will change to colorless or very ugly.. lol.. Here he is now:there is a risk (so call surprise) when keeping fancy/marble betta.. ![]() The red spot on his head is still the same. Still look like a koi from the top |

QUOTE(LuQEE @ Feb 25 2012, 01:25 PM) to be honest, im not familiar witht the fancy betta type. I wish I can help but I don't know how to judge what's good fancy. I just like spotted or koi like fish. My bettas are not for breeding, just for fun. Btw, I read somewhere b4, some bettas are drawn to red colour eg. termometre red spot. Maybe that's y she ganas towards ithow and what does the owner look for when getting a fancy type? all i see are dotted and random spots on the body and will they show their true colour when matured?..can help? EDIT* REPOST* _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ btw, anyone have any issues who always lepas geram at submersible thermometer? one of my female betta always tonjol her berried belly, butthead and libas at the thermometer lol... scared it will break, then merkuri poisoning pulak haduh~ |

I bought my imbellis for RM1.50. Both jumped out of pot and bunuh diri already (after I gave them clean clear water). Sometimes I fed them mosquito larvae, they seemed to love them. But must monitor and make sure the larvae don't turn into mosquitoes lar when breeding them!

QUOTE(LuQEE @ Mar 8 2012, 10:25 AM) I got them from AI. All dark dark one. Mine the rays one was purplish red and the other turquoise/light blue. Was fine when the clay flower pot was filled with pennywort. Had them for months, then I decided to clean the floating moss and trim the pennywort coz really kotor. I put them in rain water. Not expensive RO water, no wonder they left the building. Nowadays all want to stay in condos hor |

QUOTE(sidyeah @ Apr 11 2012, 07:43 PM) oh. thanks for answering. i was confused when i saw they selling those ikan laga rm 7. while those with label hmpk and plakat etc etc for rm40-50-70. I think putting the shrimp with bettas is like putting a plate of lobster in front of Edmund i kinda like them. can we keep bettas with shrimp? LuQee, can you post pic of your dropsy betta? How to tell if a betta has dropsy? |

QUOTE(LuQEE @ Apr 12 2012, 05:41 PM) mine is kinda like that but without the puff up scale, read that if the scale is not upright, the betta can still survive but with those bloated appearance. Thanks, shuyin_lenne_2007, was reading more about it http://www.flippersandfins.net/dropsy.htm So I guess my previous fancy had dropsy, but the pinecone wasn't as prominent. He didn't last a week and some of his scales dropped. =( Maybe yours isn't dropsy LuQEE.mine already 2 months |
