*
You must go check out this place. Their new batch of CT just arrived and they were all 2 months old only but their finnage oredi beautifully flow. I'm no fan of CT but by looking at those batch i can tell you that i never seen anything as beautiful as what they got there.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Betta-Nature/171017399586259

thumbup.gif definitely worth checking out.

Mon - Sat = 2.30pm open until midnite
Sun and Pub.Hol = 6.30pm onwards until midnite.

Good Luck!

It's ok lah sillypumpkin2020, they have contact number in their fb. You can contact that person next time if you wanna drop by ask them to book for you certain type of betta that you like. They will inform you when is the stock in so that it's convenient for you.
Dun get me wrong, i am not hard selling them but its really rare seing betta shop selling so wide range with huge quantity and also all young young betta. Normally most LFS selling all adult betta that just left few years lifespan only and also those adult one like almost lost in sex drive oredi dun make an appropriate bubble nest hahahaha no offense. I prefer rear from young so that can put more kamcheng lol laugh.gif

Question... My male betta is a failure in catching the female... What should I do?
1) leave them be and pray for the best?
2) separate them and start a new pair?

I don't wanna see one of them dead when I wake up tomorrow morning...
*
Aiyak! breeding area me also no success lerr. Maybe you should put a fake plant or bushes at the side corner of the tank so the female can hide.
But you must not put them straight 2gether lah. Put the female in a small bottle then place this bottle in the tank where the male is. Let them chit-chat tongue.gif built kamcheng 1st laugh.gif . Next thing is the male will built bubble nest. Wait until he finish building bubblenest (maybe 3 days or weeks) where you can see he has no more interest in going near her bottle to kacau her oredi instead just jaga at his nest then only release her... the rest is up to them. The hiding place is good for female to hide until she is finally realize there is nothing to be scare of anymore then she will check out his nest. I failed twice oredi with the same pair at the part of male wrapping, the female dash away easily then i figured maybe its her size. She is smaller than him but full of eggs. Then she expelled her eggs herself becoz too excited oredi. Anyway the male still picked the eggs up and put in his nest but its still not working because no wrapping the eggs won't fertilize. It is the wrapping moment that male will release its sperm the same time. I also heard some say that male can fertilize even without wrapping but i doubt it.
Anyway not everyone will succeed in breeding betta, some tried many years also kenot. So i think it's luck.
Aiyah good luck to you anyway wink.gif

My conclusion is... He is a gentleman... And she is shy...
How am I gonna change water without disturbing them oh???
*
hmm... I think he is gentleman too but my female is ganas laugh.gif haha. For changing water maybe you can try using those small air pipe hose and change the water without taking the fish out of the breeding tank. What i did was the bottle that female i put in was those mineral bottle i cut into desire length then i poke a few holes at the bottom, so the water in the bottle and the tank can be the same level.
It's better to observe them if planning to breed them if not arh.. later they managed to spawn you don't realize it then change the water doh.gif .

Just put her in a new conditioned water and a little salt for healing, hopefully her fin can grow back probably by 3 weeks.

Thanks. Salt as in the cooking salt?
*
Aquarium salt. In fish rearing you can't do without it. Can be easily purchase at any local fish shop. You can seek the shop owner advise on your fish condition, he may recomend some medication instead of aquarium salt. Just ask him what is the appropriate amount to add in your tank size.

may i know where can get cheaper betta around KL? like around below rm10 ?
*
hmm maybe you can try Jalan Pasar, its not shoplot by the way, its more like pasar pagi biggrin.gif. Just try your luck there lah you may get a good one. Last time i saw there were RM2 for plakat but those like very old adult oredi.Ermmm i would say the fish there ranging from RM2 - RM20. But i realize something about betta there, most of them got like unproportion fin macam left bigger than right one. No harm just go survey 1st lah.

Put both female and male tank next to each other Azure, when he flare his tail to the max you'll see whether his tail goes 180 degree(halfmoon), if it only reach 170 deg he is super delta. However his tail has a bit of feather sign at one portion, if it develop throughout the whole tail like this would be a feather tail.
You have a very nice female though, It sure looks like a salamander.
You can google search for more info on tail type such as feather tail, rose tail, salamander.
I'm currently interested in Melano color, it is extremely rare.
Overall all your betta and marimo looks good and healthy, keep it up.

thank you for ur reply, yes, I confuse that he has a feather tail, or rose tail, because he has some curl on his tail. but he still 2 months old now..means his tail can grow more and can be a lil bit different right? O_o
Melano? do you mean Black Melano?
now I'm looking for Black-yellow mix Mustard Gas, hard to find the good 1 here sad.gif.
always sold out
*
Hmm it seemed like a portion of feather tail to me. It will not outgrown the whole tail because he was born that way, same goes with those that have short dorsal fin will not grow longer when adult. Maybe one of his parent is feather tail or rose tail or even over Halfmoon. Too much of rays over lapping causing it i suppose.
Yeah, the Black Melano. However female is infertile but if got a Show Grade Male that will be one gorgeous masterpiece biggrin.gif to be kept.
You can't get a good one in LFS, you should try local betta breeder at your place but if you prefer those that trustable here would be the person starting this thread Yewlin. Also some other good breeder Bobby and Haur. It won't come cheap though.
Edmund also sometimes sell off some good breed here hehe.

tried to find that at local breeders here..I really envy thailand's betta XD they're really pretty and big hahaha
hmm I got Melano betta, but the black is the Fin only smile.gif Dunno the breeder called him black melano, hehehe, but the body is metalic grey
He's cute, a really shy one, he swim backwards when my finger move near the tank =_="
strangely, he doesn't flare much when I put a mirror in front of him..but he flare much when I put other betta in front of him (means he doesn't feel threatened with himself? lol ) XD
*
O.o smooth steel blue mixture cool. Yup some of thai breeder produce excelent Melano HM. If got chance go there dunno whether can bungkus one back or not hahaha. I'd say this is one smart fella, won't flare on his own mirror image tongue.gif

Black Melano like this one? user posted image
I bought mine from that breeder biggrin.gif
but it was sold out tho.. looks like he got many type of black melano, only the Fin's flaring are different..
I wish I could go to thailand and bring some to my country too..but fish can't go in a plane right?+_+
*
ohmy.gif Now this is gorgeous. You kenot like that one, i felt like curi this one oredi haha. If the anal fin shorter abit it's almost like a perfect oval shape lining from the dorsal > caudal > anal fin thumbup.gif . It'll even be more better if the caudal has similar length as its body.
+1 to this Melano
