 Door Knob Hole, How to cover it up?

I change my room door knob hole.the original is the turning knob and change to a handle type.but there is a hole in the knob cover.the old knob screw is much longer than the 1 i bought
can i know how to fix it?what i need to fill up the hole?

just tell the hardware shop i wan wood silicone?
are they those silicone gun silicone?

U bot the wrong 60mm backset, just go back to the shop n change the backset to 70mm will do.

the funny part is some of the house need 60mm,some need 70mm @@

I don't think all knobs comes with various back sets sizes. Not wood silicone, ask for paintable ones. to makes it less obvious, use color silicone that's closest to your door color or else get the white ones and paint it to the closest color.

a 70mm at any DIY hardware shop only cost u less than rm8, how much for silicon & painting hmm.gif

Use wood filler and not silicone.

already bought the silicon at rm 9

i bought the silicone dy.should i change back to wood filler instead?is it more durable than silicone?
