I remembered that in Outpost (Cineleisure), probably on the second floor, that members in Outpost sell their DnD miniatures over there. But if you're looking for dices and books, you'll need to check on Comics Corner in Damansara Jaya or Bangsar.

If you're planning on running a game or are belonging to a gaming tabletop rpg group and the DM, allows Forgotten Realms campaign setting books, sure. The Forgotten Realms series is a very detailed setting and has a lot of nifty stuff to work on your character with, if you're playing that is.

I'm currently running a homebrew DnD campaign using the 3.5 edition rules system. There are several houserules with additional add-ons to the gaming rules such as criticals, call shots and etc. My group's playstyle is pretty serious but not to the point of shakespearean type of roleplay and we occasionally do joke around. So we want some serious players, not casual ones who won't bother to learn about the game and needs to be babyspoon fed every single time. I run my games pretty strict, with everything on it, from roleplay, to hack and slash, to puzzle solving, to enviroment challenge, etc, just so to cater every players' needs in the group.

So i'm looking for eager and serious players (not casual players), with at least a bit of experience of gaming (like, you had sample one or two games before). Even if you have no experience at all, we can teach you the basics, but the rest is up to your ownself to learn.

We're not letting in anyone in permanently, so if you're interested, we'll do some player try-outs to see if you're alight to game with us or not. So if you're interested, just reply the thread or gimme a PM.

Hey all, this is the Questing GM from Sabah. Have been gaming for almost 10 years, mostly D&D (still haven't been able to try out 4E yet) but is looking to branch out to new games. There's no FLGS in Sabah that sells D&D stuff so we have to order them from overseas sometimes.

Haven't been playing recently because I'm in uni now but hoping to roll some dice once I graduate. Hoping to know more Malaysian gamers out here. blush.gif

I even have a gaming blog so you can check it out at my sig below. notworthy.gif

Hope it's nice meeting you all. wink.gif

Hey guys, this looks like a very interesting game to get into. I have always heard of this game but never actually seen it.

Does anyone here need a new member in their DnD group? Cause I'm new, willing to learn and join weekly games. ANYONE?

My best advice to get you started is, if possible, find an experienced group that can take in another member, you'll learn faster that way. If not, get a group of buddies together to form your own but you'll have to learn things from scratch.

The current edition is the 4th and you'll need 3 core rulebooks, Player's Handbook. Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual. If you are a new player that have managed to joined a group, you'll only need the Player's Handbook. Buy the other two if you and your buddies are new to the game and someone will have to be the dungeon master (DM).

I'm not sure what is the price of these books in KL but I'm willing to guess that each book will probably cost about RM100-200 (depending on which shop too). Best way to find a group is to ask around game shops that sell these books.

I stopped gaming for several months now. sad.gif

Well technically, i stopped running games, coz i've gotten burnt out from being a gm all the time and my players refuses to switch roles of running games. mad.gif

icon_question.gif Am looking for a 3.5 group to join in as a player though coz my weekends are boring and my job sucks. yawn.gif

Not interested to try 4E because it's never really my cup of tea to start all over again with so little modules available right now.

Hmm, personally I would recommend that all new players start out with a game system that focuses on the fluff aka flavour text rather than the crunch aka the rules. D&D 4th edition is fun to play no denying it but I would personally say start out with D&D 2nd edition or Savage Worlds. Of course that's my personal preference

Anyway, for game shops one can find the rulebooks for sale at the Comics Corner down at Damansara near Atria. That's the main gaming shop and several groups already run roleplaying games there smile.gif (Note: Don't go to the Comics Corner near Sunway. They'll stare at you cluelessly if you ask about D&D tongue.gif )

Hei, fellow Sabahan! I from Maktab Nasional and also played a lot of D&D but am currently on hiatus at the moment thanks to uni.

AD&D 2nd Edition to me feels more crunchy than 4E if you ask me laugh.gif
By the way, you can now download the Quick Start rules and a free adventure for D&D 4E *legally* from the Wizards web site. Grab it while you still can.
Yep, Savage Worlds is a nice and fast system but is it for sell in Malaysia? I would really like to know where? drool.gif

And if you really want to go fluff then try Exalted or any other White Wolf game. icon_rolleyes.gif

But again, getting a group is more important. thumbup.gif
