There is also a very simple way to do this if ur phone is running on 5.0 or above... what I do is install Find My iPhone app from appstore (apple app FREE) and then login into it.. then there is a option to WIPE ur data or LOCK your phone... just select the wipe... it will erase the whole phone and reboot with the new config screen.
Even this can be done thru a pc if your phone is on wifi or 3G. Logon to icloud.com and select your iphone and select the option WIPE data. U can use this option even if your phone is lost also. |
