no. unless your room temperature is exceptionally high (30 something degrees C)

the usefulness is in elevating the laptop screen

@dinokun, i'm using the G53jw, and the two buttons is possible to change if you change the script of the ATK package.. so its not that easy.

The Backlit key i think its different, mine is a on/off switch. Physical one, so not dependant on software, i think the G73 one is?

it will perform well in games, you'll feel it especially so if previously you were using like the GT540m or similar GC.

Issues with the G74, so far no one report anything, the ones here are usually G53...

@riku, that's what the X51 was created for. To look pretty next to your consoles... but its still a desktop nonetheless. But actually why would you hook up the X51 to a TV screen? if you wanted to play games that use controller, you already have your xbox360.... hm....

asus really late to the party on making their gaming laptops easy access. But i gotta say the design is gorgeous... makes me feel like buying the G55.......

Love that little ROG logo in the middle of the vents, maybe next time it can light up when you power on the laptop.. then when you change to gaming mode, it glows red....

Body seems to be more curved, no more hard rigid lines, looks more like a car now

Interesting why they are bringing back firewire.. i thought that was phased out already

hoho, order from the states? take even longer. Find a local dealer is better. Where are you? JB? KL? Penang?
