Hmm.. Weird. I check with devour last week. According to him "3rd batch  is on the way to malaysia". If all these are true. 2nd batch = end of June. Then 3rd batch will only arrive on end July?

btw, i am planning to buy the Alienware Orion Backpack.however, seems like the price is some mysterious thing.haha
i check on dell malaysia website its rm229. but i went to check at House of Notebooks, they said its over rm400. which one is true? or actually its 2 different product? hahaha

new G55 owner here, been using it for about 1 week and got to say its awesome! except for the weight of cause lol

anyway just to chk what sort of Asus Notebook bag u guys got? Mine is the Premium model and i dun think its meant for the G55.

It fits in just nice but i feel the top part aren't very protected as when u zip the bag up it just barely covers it.

Tried last weekend to find a slip for it but cant seem to find any that is bigger than 16".

Its not the targus ROG backpack right? apparently according to a few G55 owners here, the bag that comes with the G55 (non 3D model) just barely fits the G55 and material wise, its not very durable. I've been searching for a backpack as well for my yet to arrive G55. Although it is recommended to get a 17" backpack.. it is not easy because the G55 is bigger than any of the 17" out there

it helps to check the size of laptop compartment inside the backpack and see whether it fits with the laptop you own. They don't have G55 yet, but you can compare it with G53sx size since there's no visible difference in terms of length and width. Just thickness.

It does not have all brands/models for backpack, but it'd give you a good idea on what kind of backpack you need.

Another backpack that is sure to fit the G55 is the Alienware Orion.

i have phone gadgetzone, they have to cfm wif their HQ 1st.
hopefully they have the stock in msia currently, i reli couldn't tink of any other bags big enuf to fit in my beast, his food (adapter), textbooks and an iPad.

Cant comment on that  probably would get a better answer from the ROG forum. I'm not very sure of that myself.

Not just that, the 3D version comes with the ROG mouse, ROG targus backpack and even a Steelseries headset (correct me on this). And there's only one LYNer using the 3D unit here. Anyway, congrats on your purchase and hope you have fun with it. Its already my 3rd week waiting for my G55 to arrive  and if you found a backpack that fits the G55, do let me know. Currently searching for a backpack as well.

Don't plan to use the premium bag for long, that's why i've been busy searching for a backpack that fits. But I can't do much since my G55 havent arrive yet Doubt mine will come with the targus backpack, Devour already told me that Asus decides to provide that backpack exclusively for those who order the 3D version only. Not sure about the future though.

Got my G55 two weeks ago. Just curious if owners felt that the right side of G55 palm rest is creaking and squeaky when u press on that area even slightly??

G55 is just thinner than G53. Other than that, not much.
That is seriously one of the reason i'm not going for the orion. Picture it, walking around with an Alienware bag. Everyone gonna assume you're carrying an Alienware. Then take out laptop, Asus G55 macam tak ngam pulakkk

Actually, that's the correct measurement. Remember someone posted a similar dimension in the NBR as well with someone posting pics to compare the size of G75 with the 74. The latest G5 series are only slimmer in size (thinner), other than that, nothing much and i got the dimensions from the ROG site
