eventhough the lenovo y580 has similar specs compared to the g55..based on my opinion, i tink that it is not suitable for heavy gaming like the g55...g55 has excellent cooling system while the lenovo i dont know la.


edit: the webcam of the y580 is only 1 megapixel( very bad)

you can only get the alienware m14x only at rm4899 one model..but the specs is lower than the g55 and it is rm900 more than the g55-s1095v..the alienware has only gt650m gpu and 14 inch hd screen only..i suggest you to dont buy the alienware..stick with the g55

but normal dell laptops like the inspiron?? hmmm..the specs are also low compared to the g55 and the price is damn expensive

basically..wat im trying to say is that the highest spec laptop you can get from dell is the alienware m14x at rm 4899, which the spec is lower than the g55vw at rm 3999..so it is not worth it to buy a dell laptop(unless your budget is more, then you can buy the m17x at rm 7799)

but you said your budget is 5000 right? your can get the g55vw 3d model at rm 4999..if you dont like 3d and dont use the bluray drive, then just get the non 3d version at rm 3999 only..currently it is the best laptop with the highest spec with price tag of rm 4000, then you can use the extra rm1000 to buy accessories.

dont get me wrong as dell produces good laptops, only that is expensive with lower specs for rm5000 max

shouldnt be a problem as asus has international warranty...the only thing im afraid is that ASUS service center IN MALAYSIA MIGHT cause problems if you buy the europe model..tengok tengok they say cannot service cause europe model etc etc etc..i dont know what the asus malaysia will react to this case..

take a look at link above, the asus g55vw-ds71 is there..it has a massive 12gb ddr3 ram( a big advantage over the malaysia model) but the hdd is only 750gb(1000gb in g55vw-s1095v) but it is 7200rpm hdd (5400rpm hdd only in the g55vw-s1095)..so the europe model should be faster than the malaysia model..

to confirm with the service center in malaysia..do like what i did with my g55vw-s1095v..before i purchasedit, i ask seller the serial no of the g55 im going to buy..with the serial no, i called asus hotline and ask them to verify the serial no whether it can be serviced ornot in the future and whether it is ori or not..after conformation then only i buy the g55vw..

iF GOT NO PROBlem WITH SERVICE CENTER and they can verify serial no, THEn G55 EUROPE MODEL ...IT IS ok..infact, it is much faster than malaysia model due to massive ram and faster hdd

so get serial number from seller and make a call to asus malaysia hotline

the list by asus is wrong..techypermart also say wrong.;IT IS DEFINITELY 1600mhz, look at the asus product guide magazine, and my laptop, tomato and eggs laptop, and fussylogic laptop all has 1600mhz ram..and yes, that user add additional 1333mhz ram, like what i did(1600mhz ram hard to find in shops) .fussylogic bought from techypermart..most probably the techypermart guy didnt check properly the specs..

ONCE AGAIN THE G55VW-S1095V HAS DDR3 1600 4GB RAM..THANKS

The cooler pad is just additional and i not needed actually but the cooler master motepal x3 is damn cool the looks and suit the g55 well..and it reduced the laptop bottom temp slightly..i suggest you to buy the cooler master x3 due to the big fan, blue led light, and stealth look

the news from asus hotline actually..she told me that the 2nd batch is very big number due to high demand..she also told me the the g55 is the most demanding asus rog laptop in malaysia campored to all the other asus rog laptops before.

i bought for rm95..the led only blue colour..but got switch to off the led, to off the fan when not in use and to adjust speed of fan..there are other cooler pad there, but based on my opinion, the x3 has the best looks

eventhough the x3 is nice and powerful..there is another more powerful cooler master cooler pad..the cooler master storm sf-19 strike force
