sound proofing.... i heard from my fren he said got something like form type...  u spray into it in form type.. then it will slowly harden.

good  n light... he aint sure if those chemical stuff will hv any bad impact on the panel in long run. anyone can verify this?

Stuff like Autofoam...there is a thread in the technical thread about this....but becareful what you wish for...you might not like it...and there is NO WAY TO REVERSE it.....one guy done it on his VIOS and hates his car so much that he wanted to sell it oready.....not worth the money AND the RISK. Best option is you lose weight....tongue.gif

very much on what u r expecting, for me i don't think we can tell much apart on the product, because any of this product will produce better airflow then our stock(assuming it all does wat it's suppose to do)

but i ended up with the more costly K&N for 1 simple reason...* PEACE OF MIND * nod.gif

just my 2cents

Simota more to performance type (maybe) compare K&N. When you purchase makesure ask how to do cleaning.

i dont know you all la, but my main reason to change aftermarket filter
1. better dust filtration
2. better air flow

i ve survey b4, simota indeed better airflow , but filtration not that good, note simota got 2 type, blue and grey color, grey color one is metal type if not mistaken, filtration more bad, but airflow better. but Simota themself advertise their filter's plastic shell will not change their shape under extremely hot condition, but K&N may change their shape a bit after years of using.

yup...
air filter very important.

at first i also think at simota....
but KNN claims better filtration... and it's just RM220~250。

i'm using KNN is like buying better insurance coverage....

My reasons for buying K&N over Simota

1. The filtration properties of the filter itself, and the build quality.... if more dust and particles are allowed thru the filter, these contaminants goes into the engine, and you will harm the engine (more build-up, more piston wear, etc) in the long run... Simota is a brand, but they are not as famous or have as much accolades as K&N...

FYI, I had wanted to get Stainless Steel filter - cheap to buy, passes the most air, washable with only water.... but decided against it as it have the worst filteration properties....

2. Most shops uses K&N cleaning kit and oil to clean these filters, even Simota.... so how does the K&N chemicals and oils affect the Simota, and will it weaken the Simota that eventually allows more dust to pass to the engine??

3. Warranty issue: can i still claim warranty if i use K&N cleaners to clean Simota? And where the hell do I claim the warranty from??

So, in the end, i thought the RM150 ish savings is not worth the hassle, and i may end up paying more if the Simota dont work as well as K&N, not to mention save pennies but potential early damage to engine will cost a bomb....

The above is my 2 cents, its still your money, your car and your decision.....
