*
haha, ic. 4 tyres can get 1500? or are you saying including rim?

i think i'm gonna keep the 16inches rim first la.

i'm a frequent highway traveller, so i might need to invest a bit on the tyre. esp now everyday raining sad.gif

hmm, really?

cos last night drive at sunway, over some wet place, the steering got caught to one side, which i think is aquaplaning la.

never had this in my myvi with yokohama c drive,. hmm.

nvm, go check out the shop first, see the price.

my shopping bug is biting me. tongue.gif

However got not much choice ler for 205/60/16. It's either CC5 or Bridgestone Turanza ER33 or Yokohama. There's suppose to be a Michelin XM2 for this size but i'm not sure if Malaysia has it or not.

Unless of course if you go for 205/55/16, then got more choices.
*
yea, must go for 205/55/16.

205/60/16 seems like very odd size.

Yokohama C drive 2 is a good tire for 205/60/16. been using C Drive for 2 years on a small car.

Guys,

Hope you guys can help clarify a few questions.

1. Where is the best place to trade in stock rims+ tires for the best value? (Planning to change to 17" once I get the car)
2. How much roughly for 17" with tires.. replica rims & also the best place to buy..
3. Any advice on the best tire size and settings?
*
1 & 2, everyone wish to know biggrin.gif

3. try http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator

see the percentage differs from original. try not to go over 3% of actual reading.

How much air pressure do you usually pump for our CC5 tyres? I usually pump 240/220 for my wira, when I checked the Inspira, its 220/220. Is that the correct values?

when ONE side caught water and pull ur steering to 1 side....is NOT aquaplaning la...it means the TYRE is doing it's job ..

FIZIKs - 1 side no beban ..the other side got beban ....sure the steering will move towards the side with beban ma...

aquaplaning = NO beban watsoever at all..in other words....tyre already NO grip....

*
is it? isnt it supposed to cut through water without any feeling?

pull one side cos one side has traction, and another side has no traction, no?

yes, because there is a puddle of water there, so now got water= no beban(traction), then no water= now got traction, so will pull one side.

Pull 1 side bcuz 1 side got traction , another side even MORE traction. it will pull to the side with more traction....

and the wheel pull 1 side is when u HIT water (got water) not after the water(no water).....it's logic and physics....
*
lol, but it pulled to the side with water.

hit the water and ran through the water happened in less than 1 second.

because when you're travelling at 60kmh, 1 second travelling is 16.67 meter.

lol, let me guess, you're not a physicist?

anyway, thanks for your feedback.

Correct, because the side with water give u more traction, in other words u need more traction to cut thru the water....just like how u try walking in the pool or water...it's harder to move in water right ? aquaplaning is like u surfing thru the surface of the water....... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
hmm, you're right , not traction, resistance, like XC said. biggrin.gif

no la XC, not wanna speed in rain with better tire, but, er....higher speed than other car making 60km/h tongue.gif

guys, i dont understand this.

205/60/16 = ori

normally can find 205/55/16 = 3% off

215/55/16 = 1.4% off.

so 215 is more suitable? but will it make my tire look very fat?

my old car 175 change to 185, tire very wide, and very hard to get correct alignment done.

sampan different story ..my stock sampan always go left also
*
no la, the tire always vibrate at high speed, everytime i rotate tire and redo balancing need to go back shop do balancing minimum 2 times to get it right.

one of the shop owner said my tire too fat is the problem ( but i dont trust him and i never go back to his shop, he refuse to do it again for me, mh.)

btw, go left is very normal for peugeot, merc, bmw etc conti cars biggrin.gif
