Just received my official Samsung leather cover for Galaxy Note.



Snug fit, quality finish. The reason why I prefer official accessory over third party offerings.

And for those who are worried about the Note not heard when ringing while in the pouch:-



Perfect combo finish!

No gaps. The stitchings on the side is uniform. The front of the pouch has an embossed "Galaxy Note" letterings as well. The back has a hole that allows your Note to be heard when ringing. Basically, a perfect case/pouch combo.

Same. Depending on how big your hand is, you can hold it with your palm, and turn on and off the Note with your thumb over the power button. But that only works if you hold it in your right hand.

Maybe if you hold it in your left hand, you can use your index finger over the power button. You will have to fold you thumb over the screen, coz yup, your thumb now will be too close to the volume button.

eBay. Yes, that leather pouch is the official accessory from Samsung, but they don't even bother to stock it for us during the launch. GBP19.99.

The leather pouch can't fit Note with flip case.

The pouch look and felt the same as the front of the flip case, only that the flip case has harder backing on the front. Peeling flip case? Mine still looks new. Which part of it is peeling?

I got a PDAir leather pouch coming over, purchased from eBay. I really don't like PDAir stuff, but that this is only pouch that is acceptable for me (by my own standards) that can protect my Galaxy Nexus.

Added on December 8, 2011, 10:12 amI tried shoving the Note with flip case into the pouch, it will fit but you will have a hell of a time getting it out, it'll be stuck good in there.

That probably happens coz the spine of the case kept moving around when you open the flip case. Shouldn't be a problem with a stationary leather pouch, right?

I don't like PDAir stuff because most of the designs are thick. A case that add thickness is a no-no to me. Same thing with a pouch. It's made worse if you're getting the leather case that permanently wraps around your device and stays there. People don't even know what device you're using coz it's wrapped in such ugly leather.

There's naked with pouch. The Pouch would be the one taking the brunt of the damage, and still maintain that slim profile when taken out of the pouch.

ADW EX Launcher gives you the chance to make it looking good, at the expense of slight lag. Otherwise, if you prefer no lag but bland interface, stick with TouchWiz or Go Launcher. Even TouchWiz lags for me once you spam the home screens with widgets.

I'm using ADW EX to turn my UI into a customized 3D interface of my own. Sure there's slight lag, but I've learned my way around it. I have minimal widgets, 5 screens, only three of them have widgets, the rest are app shortcuts with customized themed icons.

Call Samsung Support Center. I don't have the number in hand. Tell them you wanna register for your Note warranty. They will ask for your phone number and IMEI of your device. The SMS you receive later will be the indicator that device is registered and how long the warranty is for.

Some micro USB cables will only able to transfer data between your Note and computer and not charge them. I have two microUSB cables and one only able to data transfer the other one can do both data transfer and charge. Bear in mind.

There are extra pins on the port of the microUSB on the Note. If your microUSB cable doesn't have there the charging won't occur. Sadly you have to trial and error to see which does/doesn't.

Press Power Button for 15 seconds or more? I got that once while installing new ROM. I left it as that then tapped the power button and it booted.

Otherwise reboot recovery.

I know what you meant. Mine was the same case. I left it booting until 2-3 minutes and then I tapped power button. It went to the home screen lock.

Otherwise reboot recovery for Galaxy device is: power off(in this case you need to pull your battery out). The press and hold volume up, home and power bottom at the same time.
