How about minus the rock/metal preferences but with close back 1? another question is listening to music other than metal/rock require low bass or either way round?

- Music genre: Instrumental, Pop, Trance (such as Armin)
- Budget: less than RM700.
- Headphone/ earphone type: Headphone
- Brand preference: None. Quality over price does matter.
- Other requirements (if any): I don't mind close or open headphone. Noise is not an issue. But I do mind on top the ear headphone such as Grado (I had S80). Although I love its sound quality, it really hurt my ear cup after 1 hour. I practically wear headphone for more than 10 hours a day (literally).

Noted with many thanks. Since you own AD700 as well, could you provide me some feedback regarding bass response. I am not a bass head guy, but a nice solid well controlled bass is much appreciated especially during action HD movie viewing and trance/electronic music listening session. Any comparo between this model and ATH-M50?

PS: From what I read, AD700 has larger sound stage but less thumpy bass. Is this true? FYI, I am not a classical/jazz audiophile. Just a guy with some contemporary music appreciation

- Music genre: I'm not too sure what their genre are. I prefer more bass but I like to listen to slow vocal songs too    (Example: SNSD, Snoop Dogg and most main stream music; LMFAO, Pitbull, Adele etc.)

- Headphone/ earphone type: I prefer full-sized headphones because they are comfortable.
- Other requirements (if any): I'm not too much an audiophile myself but for me, those iBeats IEM bundled together with my handphone are actually quite good after I tested them. However, I'm more of a headphone guy than an earphone one simply because it is more comfortable. And according to reviews, anything else priced reasonably can put Beats to shame. I hope I can get a headphone that produces the same or better quality of sound compared to iBeats, priced around my budget and most importantly comfy to put on for long hours. Is Superlux any good or at least on par to my current earphones? They are priced very affordably for me.. Help me guys

actually what i mean is that i i find that philips shp2700 (the old model, not the current black/grey model) is very comfortable (for a headphone) you can wear it for long time when i sleep, some more expensive headphone i can wear it for sometime but then it starts to get uncomfortable, and i have to take it off. some too much clamp, the material gets hot and sweaty etc..

not looking for iem actually as i found them obstrusive, and after wearing them for a while i alwys feel the need to take them off, unlike normal earphone which is usually more comfortable. but for headphone, there are many good quality headphone soundwise but comfort wise i dont have an idea which model is good for me to go and try.

so i just want to find a decent quality audio wise(not necessarily super high quality audiowise, but also not sub par audio) and excellent comfort headphone.

Headphone/ earphone type: Closed back circumaural (if you guys think open back is better then do include in recommendation but i prefer closed)
Other requirements: Comfort! Gonna be using this heavily~ For bass, I dont expect boombox, just nice to have the punch there.

Okay, thanks for all the feedback sifu! Now i'm thinking between ATH-AD300, ATH-T500 and AKG-K99. The others ruled out due to comfort factor and performance. So in a pick 1 situation, which would you guys pick? And btw, i read somewhere that the ATH-T500 is not that comfortable?? Thanks in advance
