u cant force update nowadays... it wont work that way.... u can try use cab sender. it work for my samsung and HTC. but make sure which cab files u need to send.

BITS is a services running in windows. called Background Intelligent Transfer Services. check your services.

u can go services by:-

1. Click START, and select SEARCH bar.
2. type SERVICES.MSC press Enter
3. search for Background Intelligent Transfer Services. start the services by right click and select START. if this services are off.

this services control all Microsoft related products update.

check 2 more services. make sure its started too.

COM+ Event System
Remote Pricedure Call(RPC)
Background Intelligent Transfer Services depands on the above services components to be STARTED
and also make sure the services named "Windows Update" is on too.
