My battery was even worse. Last night before I went to sleep at 10.30pm, I decide to turn off my data as to save my battery. At that time my battery level was at 85%. So to my surprise, when i woke up this morning at 6.30 am and  checked my phone battery level left only 38%. without any data it consume much more power? its so weird and wrong

Any idea?

Mine was pretty good, 35 hours of battery life with some light-moderate usage and WiFi on. Maybe try check your hardware firmware that it has been updated with the battery fix?

CR122 Nokia Car Holder work great !! perhaps Lumia user should get one of these!!!
*
How much you get for the holder? And is your Nokia Drive working fine? Mine was pretty inaccurate in Penang, was curious whether is this my chipset issue or software issue. If it's chipset issue... cry.gif

this holder very difficult to buy not every nokia store have it, lucky me found it at mudah.com, cost me about RM100.

my nokia drive work fine. have you try another gps apps ?? im using Turn By Turn.
*
Will try it out later today with the Turn by Turn.

QUOTE(PrivateJohn @ Feb 24 2012, 09:11 AM)
Wow...that is probably too good. Even I turn on EDGE & Wifi, it will probably last for 24 hours only (Standby 80% of the time)
My OS version is 7.10.8107.79 and I have install all the latest update. The only application running with background task turned on is "Amazing Weather".

May I know what apps you have that are using push and also your full charge capacity? I have 4 email accounts setup and the settings for "Download new content" is set to "as item arrive"....not sure if that is part of the reason also?
*
My full charge capacity is currently at 1269 mAh, but number can fluctuate around 1200-1400.
Also have 4 emails (2 Hotmails, 1 Outlook Live & 1 webmail) but only one is set to as item arrive.

And nope, I've have no apps running with background task turned on. And the only app that is utilizing push is WhatsApp.

If you really need to max out your battery, turn on the battery saver right from the start. Really give you a few extra miles with your battery.

3. No + , > in the keyboard. if i want to say 1 + 1 = 2... i have to write "1 PLUS 1 = 2"..

*
There is '+' , '>' in the keyboard. You just need to go to the 2nd page of the symbol keyboard by pressing the arrow sign on the left side of the symbol keyboard.

So just change to Lumia 800 after 1 and half month using HTC Radar,

So here is what i think,
...
HTC Radar GPS is much faster
...

I hate to say this, but i think Lumia 800 is overprice and HTC Radar is better, if HTC Radar is 16gb, and come out of the box GPS software. it will be perfect!
*
Can anyone confirm this? Supposedly Lumia 800 is with GLONASS support built in, it should be faster.

Does Nokia Transport work in Malaysia? Even if it works right... our public transport system is so teruk, don't believe it can really predict our bus and KTM times.
*
They only cover Penang & KL, and doesn't have live timetable.

So it's only direction to stations?
*
It's more like from A to B, which station you need to get to, and take which bus, and estimated time needed to reach destination.

indeed but thats not my reason why i use singapore ID. I used the ID i had for more than 5 years example myname@live.com then i use for awhile with so much apps , games and stuff now i gonna hard reset i might end up setting it all over due to lack of backup infrastructure.

The problem with Wp7 now i cant change my primary ID only way is to hard reset. Eventually it will come to malaysia the usual question is when?

I even tried to go to live passport and xbox live to change my region to malaysia but its bold as singapore and i cant change it
*
Your account is fixed to the selected region during Live ID creation, and there's no way for you to swap region. MS has acknowledge the issue on their answer site, but no words of when the fix is coming as it was speculated to involve a big muddle pool of content licensing deal.

WP7 backup is on the way, but may only come after Tango. You can use 'Reinstaller' to reinstall apps that are registered under the same live id.

Agree with bulkbiz. But there are some lights in the tunnel,

1. There are some rumours going on that MS is going to scrap live and zune altogether and make just one MS account.

2. The coming of Nokia Lumia 610. A lower cost hp, which a developing country like Malaysia could definitively take up.

But all this still begs the questions on when?
timoott2000, have you updated your windows 7 or XP SP3?
*
Yes, it is confirmed that Live and Zune will be scrap for MS account.

I wonder why Bing Music is not available for SG/MY region.
(if you go to Bing Search, there are "Scout" "Vision" "Voice" but there are no "Music")
Shaazam is not free and I can access bing search alot faster.
*
My guess is content licensing issue. So far, only regions with Zune music marketplace have Bing music enabled.

Isnt that consider as overpriced since all basic function also lose to a single core?

Boot up also lose , Camera also average performance, Screen under sunlight also not 100% visibility, Simple function lose to a single core, They pay twice compare to WP7  similar performance twice higher, Everyone around u using the same OS?, So expensive but still lag. For me i believe their purchase is overpriced. Then ppl come tell you that you need root it to experience NORMAL isnt that consider overprice? then full of bugs and must update your phone often isnt that overprice?
*
WP device is priced way higher than an Android device, with the same identical hardware specification. That for the mass public, is a big deterrence. And having a great OS user experience rarely swayed consumer purchasing decision making.

BUt then we go back to the same old argument, does the car make the man or the man make the car? because how I look at it, it's a MyVi against a VW. VW being a windows phone of course.
*
Feature wise, WP lose out to the other two. User experience wise, WP is the king.

For those who already a smartphone user, their purchase decision is pretty much fixed to to their niche, and it's hard to sway their decision.

The bigger pie is those who are converting from using feature phone to a smart phone. And to most of this group, being a first time user, they wont be gunning for great specs, but rather a phone that can at least replicate their ex-phone feature. If phone A and phone B can offer similar functionalities, why should I pay more?

Great specs doesn't translate to great performance. Specs is objective metric, but user experience is subjective. And you could always do better with greater specs if you already have a solid OS in place.

With WP7 & Tango, I still see WP will appeal to a very niche market. With WP8 & W8, well.. we'll see how it goes.

Is there Chinese input/ Chinese typing for WP7 ? For those devices which went from WP7 to WP7.5 is there any laggy symptoms ?
*
Yes, there is. Just go to Settings > Keyboard and select the languages you preferred. Input option during message composing can be selected via a button to the right of the space key.
