Anybody wants to change the tiles to other color???

After a few months, are there new ways for us to unlock Mango now?

change tiles to other color ? advanced config 1.5 ?

Hi. I updated my Mozart today, but still it doesnt have any internet thetering features. Can anyone explain why?

internet sharing is under HTC driver Update. what is your bootloader version. u can check it at SETTING, ABOUT, MORE

in order to update internet sharing. u have to go thru the first and second HTC driver update. then your SPL will become 5.*

the bootloader version is 1.28.2250.3

I just update the os version, how to update the driver? I tried to google and read about that, but its very difficult for me to understand.

holly cow! u having 7740 and your device SPL still can remain at 1.28?

i would really like to know the following:-

1. is your firmware version 7720 or 7740?
2. what model is your phone and where you purchase it?
3. are you running Stock ROM or you are running Custom ROM now?


please let me know as i am very interested to know your device and how you update your phone.

Hahaha. I tell you im a complete noob. Im an avid user of my phone and permanent follower to this thread, but I seldomly can spend much time to follow the updates.

My phone is Mozart, already updated to 7740 (i think ). I bought it at Lowyat the first few weeks it come out to the market. Its been one year plus. Its running on stock rom (i think so :-D) because I never did anything on my phone except update once I got the notification.

i encounter this before once. there is no way u can update HTC driver update now since u already on 7740 now. what u can do now since you have a SPL which is version at 1.28

you can force flash back to 7004 factory default ROM whereby thats the ROM when u purchase ya phone. once u done... u have option to be legal and illegal. thats the fun part.

from there u do steps by steps update to 7720 and 7740. so the Legal process should be like below.

force 7004 downgrade -> update 7008 -> update 7392 -> update HTC driver -> update 7403 -> update 7720 -> update HTC drive -> update HTC driver (internet sharing) -> update 7740


for the illegal process should be like below:-

force 7004 downgrade -> install RSPL -> install HSPL -> force flash any custom ROM with internet sharing for mozart (7720/7740)

You know what. I did try the xda-dev methods of backup with a "mule" update because I wanna change into a new account which is US-linked (For my music lock-screen to have the background. Reset the phone and backup again to find I'm let with the same situation w/ my old account. I guess there's no way it'd be possible. :/

Just about to post on the same question and I saw your answer here.

My situation is exactly the same, 7740 now but SPL still at 1.28. So there is no way to get the Internet Sharing HTC driver update other than downgrading back to 7004? That just sucks! I update from Mnago Beta to Mango officially and always update whenever it prompt me to and it never prompt for the HTC driver....

So quick one,

1. If I'm going to do the legal way, how am I going to force 7004 downgrade? Any guide?
2. If I'm doing the legal way, can I do the unlock thing? I used to do it once then when mango beta released, I reset and lost it then never bother to unlock it again.
3. Possible to keep everything I have for now so that after I upgrade from bottom again and remain the same? Backup and restore?

hey fulat, mine is os version 7740..bootloader 5.02250.1(131000), swt...i cant get the internet sharing update? or do i have it alread? >.<

those who have spl 1.28 may opt for customs rom with internet sharing already buildin + sideload rather going for HTC driver force yourself to spl5.xx just for the sharing. , you won't be able to sideload once you have HTC driver spl5.xxx.

The only way is using goldcard method which fulat sucessfully downgrade his spl5.xx back to earlier spl.

Thats the problem. u should have update mango from mango beta. that process should have messed up ya usual update.

1. download the correct 7004 for ya device. power off ya device and bring ya device to bootloader mode. then start the force update
2. yes. u can still do the unlock thing.
3. nope. not possible to backup/restore everything.

nope. i presume yours a HTC HD7 right? guess u have to wait.

no problem. just wait... as i know. most of the maxis brightstar HD7 owner stilll not have the update yet. this make me wonder is the internet sharing update are block by maxis or not...

any maxis HD7 owner here got their update yet?
