Please do not turn off your devices, straight soak it in a packet of uncooked rice.

Wait for few days, preferably for a week or more. Then only clean it with isopropyl alcohol. if you are not confident enough send to repairman to do it. cheerio.

If you know how, remove the bottom 2 screws and open the back door cover. Remove 1 screw securing the battery and disconnect batt.
Reconnect the batt and plug into charger, see if the phone boots up.

If not just get a repairman to do it for you. smile.gif

There are a lot people doing these repairs.

But, suggest u to find some reliable repairman. Can be done through search in LYN.
Or else google their reputation/feedbacks before approaching them.

You guys encountered Wifi Grey out problem in 4s not?

mine happened this lately, one of the solution I dig in the net is...... put in the fridge  -___-"

Happened to me as well, just about the same time as yours. Tried so many tips from the internet, including restore, set as new phone, fridge, overheat, etc. None worked.

How much to repair the wifi chip? Anyone knows reliable iPhone service center that can do the repair in Kuantan?

I just kena this on my iPhone4, although it heats up even with 3G connection. Do you have the same problem with 3G?

I had just replaced my phone's LCD screen at Mobile Solutions Publika last Thursday, so I suspect maybe the repairman f***ed something up with my phone, but haven't had time to go back there again. sad.gif

Mine does not heat up when using 3G for browsing / downloading. Looks like Apple's WiFi chip has become less reliable nowadays. My 3GS' WiFi still works flawlessly.
