Hi all.

This evening my friend accidentally dropped her iphone 5, and the screen did not crack at all. however, it turned out to be unresponsive. there is no area of the screen working. she then called apple service centre, and said that the repair cost would be RM1090 (which i think would be better to get a new phone instead of repairing it). So does anyone where can we fix the screen with lesser price? : rclxub.gif ( it would be highly appreciated icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

You can get it fixed for around 400++ - 500++ for ori type of screen . Of course there is also those low quality cheap screens in the market.

The best way is to post details about the phone as a lost-and-found item in, say, the notice board at your local 7-11... Who knows, the owner may also be a local fellow and will be able to contact you should he head to that particular 7-11 and see the notice (the world is pretty small nowadays)? biggrin.gif

Of course another way is to post on FB or even here on LYN, and let people spread the word around! smile.gif

you won't able bypass passcode unless iphone 4 with jailbreak. if able to bypass then only can retrieve phonebook info otherwise it can't.

i hope the owner will not assume that we want to take his/her phone....
since my dad gave to me to figure out what to do next...so i did took out the sim and put to mine so that who knows that it has contacts..luckily yes! it has contact numbers...
so i did called some of them like -abah, kakak, adik1, adik 2, darling 1, 2, 3, but no one answers my call. i mean using my mum's phone to call them.
so we are hoping that they will call my mum's phone back...
after 2days still there is no reply or call..i dont know what to do..i did whatsapp them..delivered but no reply

my niece iphne 5S screen become full of colour line horizontal and vertical,
after bring to apple service center, they point out got small crack inside top of the screen.
when ask for repair, they say no repair only replace whole unit as the damage is not cover by apple and the replacement cost RM 1400.
so if i send to apple will apple repair the screen?
how the cost if apple can repair the screen?
thanks

Repair is not in Apple's policy. As you said, they will do replacement for the whole unit at a certain price. In your case @ RM1400.
Suggest you to seek for outsource repair. The price for the replacement i'm sure lower than that exchange program thinggy.

Yes it is. Either is the antenna problem or earpiece problem.
