QUOTE(Ivan113 @ Dec 26 2012, 11:38 PM) I heard that ip5 home button won't spoil, unlike previous ip which has home button issues, I also read about an article about that somewhere, is it true? I guess thats not true. Button of iPhone its like a drum. Whenever the drum is maneuver from the touch point. It will get unresponsive. Thats the time you will need a new home flex change.

QUOTE(Blackened @ Dec 31 2012, 10:08 AM) Hi guys. I am having a problem with my IPhone 5 since this morning. it doesn't recognize maxis and still in 'searching' status until now. using IOS 6.0.2. tested my nano sim to my friend's phone, no issues at all. however when I put in my friend's nano sim to my phone, same issue. so I guess it's not the sim card issue. I dont think the latest IOS has the option to manually search for phone carrier. thinking of heading to maxis centre later.. sigh Have you try "reset network settings"?

QUOTE(Blackened @ Dec 31 2012, 11:03 AM) Yes I did, couple of times in fact. Called maxis centre to reset whatever they can do on their end. They asked me to switch off then turn back on again after 10 mins (i waited half an hour). When I turn on the phone, it doesn't ask for my PIN number. usually it pops out itself when we slide open Maybe try a fresh restore ?

QUOTE(jep @ Jan 8 2013, 11:55 AM) My brother in-law's iphone 4 now suddenly have no sound at all call/sms/keyboard/lock..weird thing is..if with earphone it works...I've encountered the same issue with my other friend's 4S..same issue..end up changing the IC board or something like that that cost around RM120..anybody encountered that? Rebooting and Reinstalling IOS doesn't solve them..it's a hardware issue..I believe it's the cable port issue/spoilt where it thinks it's in docking mode..my friends 4S maybe caused by him using the energizer case that might have spoilt his charging/sync port..anyone? It must the result from dropage. Its always a bad choice wearing otterbox/lifeproof case and start throwing around like superman. It will eventually spoil the audio IC. Many people face the same problem. Nevertheless, try not to drop your iPhone. Screen crack is still replaceable. IC wise is hard to judge.

QUOTE(jep @ Jan 8 2013, 12:04 PM) He said he didn't drop it at all nor does he uses any shockproof case like that..he just used it bare..it just suddenly happened. So far it works for my friend who changed the board as well as the speaker which cost him RM120.. You sure he changed @ 120? I think what he changed is just the mic assembly.

QUOTE(jep @ Jan 8 2013, 12:09 PM) I don't know..I was not there with him when he changed it...I was skeptical too when he said they changed it both for RM120..he just whatsapp me the speaker assembly which looks rusted..I think they just changed the speaker/mic assembly..how much that normally cost? That's why, its sure speaker + mic assembly. No IC comes that cheap. Further impossible to do it in few hours. Not even SJ's apprentice. RM120 is no cutthroat no worry.

QUOTE(redrambutan @ Jan 12 2013, 03:47 PM) dear sifu, i have an iphone 3g that only can be turned on when plugged in power socket. it will restart by itself every 2mins. when unplugged from power source, it will just turn off. battery has been changed twice and battery always shows 100% My guess is on power ic. Either way is not worth to fix any longer. Use it as spare parts or just sell as it is

QUOTE(VDS1 @ Jan 23 2013, 10:26 AM) bluetooth can be turned on but can't detect nor be detected by other devices. Wifi cant even be turned on...Any recommendation on who can service the wifi chip at reasonable price? Any help is appreciated... Thx!! hi, its definitely wifi chip problem. Did you drop your 4s before? It must be damage resulted from droppage. It can be done. Initially when your iPhone is still on IOS5, it was working right? Just that you were facing intermittent problem. And right after upgraded to IOS6 straight greyed out right?
