just reach home >< haiz..

saw irenic at directd while claim warranty to my faulty device, he is really good and friendly..

just a bit frustrated with the directd ppl who talk to me.. please la.. i already very sad to get a faulty device and travel so far to there, but he take out his iphone and another phone beside my gnex and say he spot nothing wrong with the device.. why don't you try to take another 'same' phone to compare leh >< the thing actually easier to spot when u use it after 1-2 hour and all of my fren keep asking me why your screen look like dirty one..

sad.gif i just hope that directd handle my warranty properly and next time i can meet my gnex without any issue..

You always have my thanks bro!

I am ok to get my gnex late but just hope there is no such problem.. previously i always thought samoled HD will be a better screen but it's almost make me misunderstand how good is it until I saw phantomash phone ..

Anyways, thanks again smile.gif

Dont try it! The guide is misleading. The update is for google nexus s only. Not galaxy nexus..
The update is not for gnex mate..

people tend to compare weakness but not strength, they don't dare to compare how powerful gnex is but how weak compare to iOS, and the only thing they can threat android is the UI smoothness. and perhaps, no more.

great.

Hi everyone, what backup app you're using? TB seem like not working perfectly.
and how about best keyboard in ICS? sad, my old swype not support for high resolution....
*
perhaps ICS keyboard itself is the best smile.gif
the only drawback is lack of 'enter' key sweat.gif

today i just get a replacement from irenic rclxms.gif here have a thank to him, and suggest people can get their gnex from him biggrin.gif

well, base on my observation, the banding line is quite common, as i consider a defect as the link i mention above. defect is still defect, doesn't mean common make it become not an issue.
there is some case, like my previous gnex or irenic gnex, it will have the vertical and horizontal banding on the pure white or pure grey color background.

phantomash's gnex seem doesn't contain any of it, and so my current one, but some time in certain brightness of your surrounding, you might notice some, but not practical. i can still see some, in very rare case, but just only vertical, no horizontal.
perhaps it is the eyes in certain brightness will adjust the pupil to see the banding. and irenic's gnex appear less after we change the location.

cool2.gif Just checked, mine is fine. I did it another way also, i googled a grey wallpaper to check, nothing wrong.
*
what brightness you are testing?
basically what i concern is the brightness about ( 25% - 90% ) more practical. less than 25% is too dim, more than 90% is too bright, eye pain sweat.gif
Low brightness bring the banding on white, higher brightness bring banding on grey.

Nope, not alarm clock. What i meant was the whole phone hanged without me doing anything. So now i am afraid to use my phone as alarm clock because it might hang during midnight and im doomed for work.

Im not sure if my phone have the screen problem. I looked for it everywhere and the only  place i found the lines is on using msn app. Please refer to the screen shot.
*
if it is a screenshot, then for sure it is not screen problem. the screen banding issue only appear in view a picture in pure color but the output u see is not pure color but some vertical and horizontal banding..

well i nvr really like this amoled technology despite its vibrant color and all. This tech seems to have a difficulty to achieve certain quality consistency. My first android phone HTC Desire amoled had that pink tint issue, and a colleague of mine had even worse pink tint than my unit. Now i am thinking to upgrade from my Desire to GN, and the screen still has some niggling issues.

Well yeah u might get used to it overtime, but to this date it still haunts me a bit when i think i spent so much for a highend phone (then), and i am about to fork out money for the GN, and i might get a less than desirable screen.
*
give it some credit, amoled technology is still young. i'm glad because technology is growing.

i do frustrated when i get my gnex with screen banding issue. sad.gif

let's try to talk about its advantage =)
at least, i found that amoled is really have a better contrasts, better look compare to lcd, the black color is really awesome. moreover, it can be see very clear under the sun while lcd you cant see anything. icon_rolleyes.gif

I guess nothing is perfect, even iphone's screen has a lot a lot of yellow tint and light leaking problem

i guess that's the drawback of mass production.

If you see lines, it is normal. Majority of us have the screen banding issue. However, if appears to be green colour from a certain angle, then it is not fine.
Yes, the phone heats up quite badly but only happens when data is being transferred especially if you are on 3G.
*
i'm sure this is not banding, it is appear green line when certain color.. example in the setting background, appear 2 green vertical line at left side..
i think previously don't have, it appear after i run out of battery and power on it.. sad.gif

the heat issue - on wifi, using adobe viewer to view pdf sad.gif about 1 minute then the camera part and screen heat already..
