same here. i never use any android phone but soon, will gv it a try. so now wanna see which one meets my need.

anyway, Gnote is a little too big in my pocket and hand.

was looking at sgs2 previously but i9100 no longer on sales and i9100g still not much custom rom.

so i will juz wait for the release of nexus and see how ppl comment on it.

anyway, my choice is either one of these 3 phones: Nexus, Note, i9100g.

I have the same phones in mind, but I thought about it.
Note way to huge, i saw somebody using it in a restaurant. I don't like the idea of that being a phone.
i9100G - Everyone owns a Galaxy S2, so you don't really stand out from the crowd, and like we know, not many custom toms. Also, the screen resolution is low if you compare with the Galaxy Nexus or Note.
Nexus - Balance of size, has ergonomics so it doesn't feel too huge in your hand, not much bigger than the S2, so it can still easily slip into your pocket, first to receive updates, developers are going to use this device. Pricing hopefully will be bellow the Note's MSRP. The Nexus S still costs a lot if you buy without a contract from Maxis. However, no external storage, luckily for me, I only use about 3GB of stuff for my music. So, shouldn't be an issue.

You have 13 GB usable storage for apps/files. The 13 GB is shared for apps and files unlike previous samsung android phones which had internal storage.

so your question can closed now.
Note too big for you then you should patiently wait for Nexus. end of story  tongue.gif

many choice custom rom appear for certain model and less for nexus, doesn't meant good or bad.
we look for quality but not quantity  brows.gif  for example, if CM & MIUI promise for Nexus. IMO, already enough, forget for the rest of small player. Since you're in Nexus, you should expected how is the response is. else might try SGSII or Note thread.
*
That is what I said too.......... xD And most of the custom roms out there for non nexus are like Sense/Touchwiz modifications.... Which isn't really built from the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) source.

EDIT: Sorry, i mean use the market version and use +6 or +7 and errr it doesn't need root. I don't own the nexus (yet), but I'm following the forums....

Got gut feeling retail official will be only rm2099
*
If that is the case, that is the same price as the S2 i9100 launch price. (Y)

Anyone getting this sometimes?

*
This red border, this should be a pre release build. The person who uploaded this video got a pre release version of ICS installed. Its similar to the S2 i9100 ICS "leak". The red screen border is to show that touch input has been detected. So, he should just exchange it as (you can see, the OS doesn't allow him to continue either)..........

Hi guys,

1 question need help from gNex user

does ICS support native video call( not the gtalk wan), i mean the 3G video call that was long long time available for feature phone.

this is the only feature i hope will be included in ICS.

plz help thanks
*
I don't think its included. If you really want this feature, get a Samsung Touchwiz phone which has front facing camera.

whats the point of demo units if inaccurate? rclxub.gif
maybe too many ppl playing, so open a lots of program, made it slow.
unfortunately, only a reset or restart can make it "smooth" again.

of course it is "quick" and "smooth" if nothing is running.
but under normal day to day use, expect user to rest the phone?
brows.gif

since u brought up iphone 4s, never experienced drag or lag even in demo phones.
go figure. rolleyes.gif

U come here all the time idk y. Anyway, I have seen a friend's iPod Touch 4 (the 1 with camera) lag. When it does, it really jittery and crappy. He jailbroken it which I know lags it further. However, if any of us buy an iOS, we all would jailbreak it for customisation. And I've seen demo units of iPhone not as smooth as the user's iPhone.

Hope samseng can finally understand that...no matter how big the screen is or how saturated they make the screen, users will be hugely disappointed if they need to charge it very often.

Hope they will realize this and conduct more usability tests that is practical.
*
I too hope the same thing. However, to be frank, I doubt there has been much advancement for "consumers" for the past few years. All the new amazing battery tech say will come out in 3-4 years. And er, when 3-4 years over, still using typical lithium........... sad.gif doh.gif
