Using their rain shower sure no problem.

THe video was taken with his phone, so quality not very good but at least it is a good evidence to proof that Joven heater works on this Cabana Set with 8"+ diameter rain shower, I70P + CABANA Rain showerPROMO PRICE RM 788

From my experience, Joven is not durable because my hometown just used it 1 year plus only and it was spoilt. And my colleague has such experience also

which model ? this one or the older one ? you refering to the old ac pump ?
If want durable, just go for Panasonic..I never heard people around me complain about Panasonic Instant Water Heater...even my grandma house used until now still functioning well...
In my opinion Joven = Alpha, we gamble to buy them because of outlook design...depend on luck...
If one day, Panasonic releases a series of well-design instant water heater, joven, alpha and beebest will be sweating...

Anyone DIY install this item before ? My installer van broke down and can't do it anytime soon. I'm contemplating on doing it myself based on the instructions provided.
i also got one of this so far so good but i hope the noise can be reduced coz it is extremely noisy...
I haven't installed mine yet, but having this as a quite DC pump was one of the biggest reason that I got this.... but I guess it's not what I expected to be.

Comments ??
If you DIY person, it is not difficult. You need to have tool also.
do you mean the alpha dc pump is noisy? shouldn't be, as DC pump is meant to be silent as this.
yes, my bad. mine 1 is not the latest one; the previous model which same similar design. I think I will get this silent version to swap with my master room unit then move the old unit to family toilet
i did but lazy upload to youtube. the dc motor sound is like tamiya car/typical dc motor sound like the motor rpm "weeee weee weee". not sure about joven. dont have joven to compare

joven one was done i think by lyn user called leeyeung or something like that.. its in the joven thread...
one thing is sound of the dc motor the other is how powerful the pump is..

got no tools to check how is the flow rate GPH from the dc motor pumped. But im using original shower came with it. Its good enough for me. i use only 1 bar motor speed.

Get a baldi, 1500ml mineral water bottle and a stopwatch. Start the flow onto the baldi and start your stopwatch. End it in 1min and pour the water to the mineral bottle. (opposite if you 1 easy) Calculate how many need to feel up the bottle. And you get the measurment.

Some video showing the pump feature and the noise level, I am standing just beside the water heater (about 10CM apart) to purposely record the noise level, noise level consider pretty low (lower than handheld vacuum)

Thanks guys, i feel sad now. No pics, but this is my design. I worried: 1) Water sensor will keep getting hotter if faulty if both my outlet valve are closed 2) Water pump will continue trying to pump if both my outlet valve are closed
Now i have to at most only do instant heater with no pump. all the inside piping already completed and tiled over liao! 2 toilets like this style!

SIFU helpp!!!!
so the red and blue color pipes are concealed in the wall?
havent bought yet....researching for good one now! was considering alpha...but without the pump?
oh mind..haiz. i dont know why you so worry now after you decided to conceal piping. wonder did you discuss with your contractor 1st?
btw new model heater pump come with 2 controller on the heater panel (1 is to control pump speed and 1 for temperature). it can be turn off and adjust speed include the heater temp so if you so scare it blow or damage it why not you turn it off on the control panel all the time and only switch it on during shower?

+1. Valve shud only be put at the inlet pipe not the outlet pipe. If you put valve at the outlet pipe then the water will still be going in the waterheater but cannot go anywhere. This will definitely damage ur heater.

sure la without pump.. then whats the use of the centralize pump
hahaha
the water heater pump is so small the boast it provides isn't good enough
just connect it with your main pump.. u will enjoice.. bathing
Thanks for the advise. I been told by the sale that need to get the heater with pump because the the piping of the heater. I doubt so since I have the centralized pump. Maybe he got higher commission for the heater with pump?
I'm also in dilemma in between to buy Alpha Smart 18i with rain shower or Joven with Cabana rain shower.Saw the youtube, seem like Joven pump is very noisy. No idea about the Alpha one.Any good samaritan willing to share us the video for us to compare? Is Alpha brand reliable? What is the price now?

The noise level for Joven i70P is below 40dB which is considered pretty low, I also eager to see the alpha 18i but yet up to today, no one sharing the videos etc too bad

Using centralize pump will increase water pressure to inlet of water heater, but wont't it be reduced/constricted by the heater? As the instant heater can only heat a certain quantity of water for a time.
This month June Alpha got promotions, RM 774 include the shower rain head + include installations and Rm 634 if dont want to buy the shower rain head
Just saw an ad in The Star today. Alpha 18i with rain shower head selling at 550. I suspect that it is a gimmick. After maybe 10 units sold out, the offer price will no longer be applicable. The cheapest that I got is 600 in puchong. The shop is just beside Hong Leng, on the same road as Tesco Puchong
Pls pm to me the price of yr smart 18i with rainshower with pump, without rainshower with pump and without rainshower and pump. Might consider getting 3 units if price is right. Without installation please.

The DC pump for Smart series heater is warranty for 5 years. But since the heater is after the 1st year warranty, there will be a on-site service charge of RM 50.00 per trip and electrical parts replacement is chargeable as well, replacement of the DC pump will be free.

My alpha 18i first batch motor spoiled just right after 1 year.
Hi! All. I have idea regarding 18i but don't know work or not. The idea is like this. If I purchase 18i without rain shower then buy another 1 set 6 - 8 inches big shower do you think can work? How about the pressure water? I have ask few bathroom shop some sales person say can & some say cannot.

I did a bypass from to tank which enables the toilets upstairs to have good pressure hence ended buying w/o pump and still save some cash in the long run plus higher water pressure.
I have using This series and rain water system but Pressure not good enough. I Install Clazzen Water Pump and in return having good shower. You May want to contact Chris 017-3976081 for Clazzen Water Pump.
Yes my one is S18i rain shower. pump are quite strong and its quiet. before this unit i use AC pump. very noisy.
Hi Frank, sorry to intrude this thread. But I just would like to know the symptom of the AC pump going to be faulty / spoilt? Any symptom? Motor making weird sounds?... Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Actually AC pump concept are using motor from electric drill (with carbon). If you ask me, i would say AC Pump motor will last longer. Only things is that you need to replace the carbon brush after maybe 5 years using it. But the AC pump will get noisier. It was like your CD player that have volume control. Each year pass, the sound get noisier 1 st year level 1 and 5th year level 5 and its goes on until when you take shower, people stand outside your room will know ur showering. It will work fine but the noise........
any of u installed 18i found that the pump is not sufficient/powerful enough? the pump level is adjusted to 3/4 but still seems like not powerful enough. using with rain shower. Is there any pump that can be install before the waterheater to increase the water pressure or maybe bypass the built-in pump?

I bought one for my new house and my pump initially got noisier and stopped working in less than 1 year. But coz water pressure is ok, i didn;t bother to claim for warranty since I seldom used the pump function....
Definitely lasted less than 1 year though.... pheh.
Very very bad service.. the price promised through phone and they denied. I putposely drove from puchong after confirm the price and they refused to sell that price. I felt like cheated and strongly not recommended anyone to come. Sales representative do not know about their products and won't make you comfortable at all.
