joven one was done i think by lyn user called leeyeung or something like that.. its in the joven thread...

one thing is sound of the dc motor the other is how powerful the pump is..

got no tools to check how is the flow rate GPH from the dc motor pumped. But im using original shower came with it. Its good enough for me. i use only 1 bar motor speed.

Get a baldi, 1500ml mineral water bottle and a stopwatch. Start the flow onto the baldi and start your stopwatch. End it in 1min and pour the water to the mineral bottle. (opposite if you 1 easy)  Calculate how many need to feel up the bottle. And you get the measurment.

havent bought yet....researching for good one now! was considering alpha...but without the pump?

oh mind..haiz. i dont know why you so worry now after you decided to conceal piping. wonder did you discuss with your contractor 1st?

btw new model heater pump come with 2 controller on the heater panel (1 is to control pump speed and 1 for temperature). it can be turn off and adjust speed include the heater temp so if you so scare it blow or damage it why not you turn it off on the control panel all the time and only switch it on during shower?

Have you check with Alpha technician? How their After Sales Service?
*
Not bother checking with them since out of warranty. 1st alpha heater and the dc pump was dead.

hey frank76,

better be quick to file warranty claim now. Below is the reply from alpha cs for my case:

QUOTE
The DC pump for Smart series heater is warranty for 5 years. But since the heater is after the 1st year warranty, there will be a on-site service charge of RM 50.00 per trip and electrical parts replacement is chargeable as well, replacement of the DC pump will be free.
