A few things that attract scorps to your house...got a lot food, warm, cozy(human term means dirty la) and they have no place to go. That guy is more likely a mature specimen so that means tatpincer will remain like that the rest of its life...

Turn over rocks...some leaf litters or even more risky...pull open a decaying wood bark..with ur fingers

Not yet go so dunno bout that...just grab anything suspicious with a tong or tweezers are the safest way to avoid unwanted stings
