why not house the sling individually? they can survive in 5cm container with moist tissue. easier to manage. a good way of feeding AFS slings is to cut open the cricket/mealworm and put it to its mouth. usually it will eat...

While they're in the 1st instar, they don't physically feed. More like L1(eggs with legs) in tarantula slings. They rely on nutrients within they're body(provided during gestation by momma scorp). Try and leave the ones still on the mommy. Let nature take its due course. The ones that already touch ground and seem comfortable moving about can be separated without much worry.
Upon reaching 2nd instar they begin feeding. In nature, scorpions are seen as a generalized predator. They don't pick they're prey. A sizeable prey item will be tackled down with a lot of gusto, especially among potent scorpions. For AFS scorplings, I have noticed feeding them with mealworms help them bulk up pretty fast. Cricket legs and squashed pinheads are also considerable alternatives. Although crickets are not my personal favourite. A variety of other prey items can be added just for fun especially in later instars, you'll soon discover an insatiable urge to look at many different invertebrates as FOOD, lol!
And owh, have you tried counting the scorplings yet?! Lol!

lilsaint: i'll sugest you to take out the paper towel rolls in there. and replace the peat with toilet paper. toilet paper holds humidity better and easier to manage compared to peat...
