well they r the most easy to care for when young, the most importanst is to keep the mositure (humidity level) and temp ard 28-30 and they will grow and moult in every 1- 1.5 months time untill they hit 5thn instar which they will takeslighlty onger because they r reaching maturaity smile.gif

feeding is always good to have a variety for my scorps, some time crickets, some times mealworm, do not hesitate to drop live food and never feed dead food, another thing is do not leave the food in the tank for more then 24 hours if its not eaten, take them out and introduce life prey the next day. water dish is essential but for scorplings i usually use a shallow dish, so the scorpions won get drown, you rmeal worm wont get drown.. so on ...

heres a pic of my spinifer communely set up fpr Instar 5 spinifers .

well you wont be able to breed them untill say... 2 yrs later ? and Andrctonus spcies is pretty weak untill 4th instar so better make sure they r fed at least every 2 days untill they r plump up and ready to moult.

i keep them untill 3rd, the mum still remeber them till then and will not eat them and they r too young to cannabalise each other. once they moult to third instar you start taking them outone by one ,

IME so far this species do not cannabalised unless they r very lack of food, and they will usually fight and the loser get eaten, usally when theres a size difference also ;( but temprement of different scorps r different so you also have to see your luck on watyouget smile.gif

IMO.../
well... actually scorpions in the wild r VERY hardy and will not die easily
espacially WC speciment opften shows more risistance then a captive breed ones, like wat you have said they r spoon feed from young. in the wild only the youngs tend to die and pron to cannabalisation or being the prey of so many thing oin the wild. so to speal when they reach adult, they r very hardy because they have survie a long way to become an adult smile.gif

hi guys anyway you can keep the crixkets in a sperate tank, some egg crates and jus feed them apples or oranges. and they will do well for as long as you need them, unless you get very old one which will die faster, keep them as dry as you can jus make sure you change the fruits every 2-3 days to prevent invasion of fruit fllies, if you wana breed them to give you pin heads, jus put all the females in a tank purposely set up for breeding them, exactly like how you keep AFS and take them out after 2 days , put them too long and they will start eating each others egg, keep it warm and a lil moist, then you will have many in time to come smile.gif

Lychas Scutilus with 1st instar Babies - Pictures

the gestation period is ard 3 and a half months, and after mating she(2 3/4 inch) stayed with two other male speciment(near 3 inches and 2 1/2 inches), so im pretty happy with the babies cant really count the numbers but how many are there usually for bark scorpions broods?

and the babies really have meal worm looking tails hahaha ... very funny how they learn to be so organised on th mum'sback immidiatly after birth, jus look at the way they stack them selves againt eachother !
